The Performance Improvement (PI) practice is a component of Advisory Services. Our clients today face constantly changing and increasingly complex environments and as a consequence business challenges, which call for timely and effective decision‑making. We help our clients implement actionable responses to these changes, while building their internal capacity to deliver sustainable business results in an uncertain world. EY Strategy offers strategic services to our clients in the areas of strategy development, strategic planning, innovation, business merger integration, benchmarking, operating model, market studies, and process improvement strategies.
We are seeking Senior Consultants and Managers to join our PI Strategy Advisory team.
Demonstrate an understanding of strategy concepts, frameworks and approaches.
Deliver quality services on client projects. Value and model excellent client service by establishing goals and implementation plans to achieve a high quality deliverables within expected timeframes.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients by being responsive, connected, and insightful.
Develop people and teams (Manager). Provide constructive on-the-job feedback/training. Foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment.
Demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge. Keep up-to-date with current developments and trends in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Develop long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with other EY team members across all practices to serve client needs.
To qualify, candidates must possess:
A bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a relevant field
A post graduate degree or relevant professional designation (MBA or MA Econ are preferred)
Experience in providing services our team focuses on: strategy development, strategic planning, innovation strategy, process improvement strategy, business merger integration, target operating model design, and/or benchmarking and market studies.
Strategy consulting experience, selling and delivering successful, high-impact strategy projects
For a Senior Consultant: a minimum of 3 years’ experience in industry or with a professional services firm along with a successful track record in the strategic space For a Manager: a minimum of 5 years’ experience in industry or with a professional services firm along with a successful track record in the strategic space
Experience servicing clients in the major Alberta sectors (Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, and Government and Public Sector)
Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
Strong analytical mindset in terms of taking abstract questions and issues and structuring them into manageable, specific work streams
Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic
Strong project management skills
