Job purpose

Your main objective is to manage a team of professional in TAX compliance/consulting services. You will be required to have indepth knowledge of TAX regulations and able to manage successful relationships with EY Clients.

Develops skills and knowledge of the people in your group and live the firms shared culture and values at all times.

Your client responsibilities:

  • Accountable to attain client satisfaction metrics, as reviewed in client surveys.

  • Secure and enhance relationships with senior client management.

  • Assign teams that will exceeding client's expectations in terms of perform engagement management activities including billing, scheduling, performance, evaluations, mentoring, managing client expectations, and identifying additional client needs.

Your people responsibilities:

  • Mentor staff members in their professional development and career planning. Provide on-the-job performance feedback and periodic performance reviews.

  • Identify tax technical / technology training needs of staff members.

  • Live our shared cultures and values at all times and encourage your team members to do the same.

Operational Excellence:

  • Demonstrate specialized knowledge of current tax laws and a complete working knowledge of emerging tax issues.

  • Identify and manage complex issues and maintain active communications with clients on those issues.

  • Manage risk to the firm by adhering to the risk management policies and procedures and ensuring significant risks are identified.

  • Ensure quality, the technical correctness and presentational standard of all tax compliance products and client advice.

  • Ensure appropriate use of tools and sources of knowledge.

  • Identify areas for improvement, including client satisfaction, process and technology.

  • Participate as a member of the entire client service team, which may include team members from other EY service lines, example: Assurance and Business Advisory.


We are looking for candidates with the following:

  • A qualified accountant - ideally CA or CPA or ACCA.

  • Have a minimum of five years post qualification experience in corporate tax service line in a top 10 firm or extensive knowledge of tax laws gained while working in other accounting firms.

  • Experience of managing a team that delivers solutions to clients, and managing a budget.

  • A track record of developing business opportunities

  • A mature and flexible personality and the ability to build and work with teams.

  • Experience in a Big Four or International firms is preferable.
