We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Manager to support the build-out of our Performance Improvement – Government & Public Services (GPS) practice in Victoria, British Columbia. As a member of our GPS Team, you will join a talented group of professionals, serving in key roles advising Provincial Agencies addressing issues in business transformation, performance improvement, program effectiveness, financial management, program / project management and IT advisory. Our team focuses on core provincial ministries, Crown Corporations, First Nations and major municipalities,
The GPS Senior Manager serves as a key resource in business transformation projects. In this role, the Senior Manager assists with business development and sales; leads large scale client engagements; consistently delivers quality client service within expected timeframes and budget; fosters a high performing team through on the job coaching and mentoring; and develops long-term client relationships and networks to generate new business.
Desired knowledge and skills
Experience leading teams on large, complex engagements from analysis through implementation
Experience working in Big 4, global management consulting firm or Blue Chip company focused on the government and public sector
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to develop long-term client relationships and a portfolio of new business
Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to travel to meet client needs
A passion to make a difference to the lives of British Columbians by transforming public service delivery
To qualify, candidates must have:
a bachelor's degree and approximately 8 years of relevant work experience; or a master's degree with an emphasis on business performance improvement or other related field and approximately 7 years of relevant work experience
Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in: Visioning and Strategy design and delivery, public sector policy analysis and development,, Governance, Stakeholder Management, business transformation or business performance improvement, change management and communications, Operating Model and Organizational Design, and program / project management
Must be eligible to receive a secret clearance or higher
Preferred Certifications or Other Professional Credentials
Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt, Black Belt)
PROSCII Change Management or Advanced Change Management Certification
