This is a fantastic opportunity to join the award winning Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team at EY, helping the business to win in the marketplace through creating deep client relationships, exploring major opportunities for revenue growth and consistent reputation building.

The opportunity

As part of the Communications and Engagement team, you will be responsible for communicating firm-wide and service line initiatives, and specific priorities and projects to an internal audience. Working collaboratively, you will have the intellectual rigour and creative flair to develop and deliver communications and engagement plans in support of business priorities.

You may be responsible for managing more junior members of the team and you will make a strong contribution to the Communications and Engagement team and wider Brand, Marketing and Communications function.

You will work on a varied portfolio including business partnering service lines and functions, as well as working on firm-wide projects and initiatives that support our purpose and brand.

Your key responsibilities

You will establish and deliver new internal communications channels as well as maintaining and contributing to existing channels, e.g. webcasts and leadership messages. Your communications will seek to maintain clear, visible and trusted leadership and increase a sense of community and mutual understanding.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience of building strong relationships and influencing senior business leaders

  • Managing multiple, inter-dependent stakeholder relationships

  • Experience in entering complex matrix organisations and understanding them

  • Skilled in connecting communications with other business functions when working as part of a multi-faceted programme of activity

  • Ability to plan, manage and deliver internal communications strategy and plans

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Knowledge and experience of a wide variety of channels

  • The ability to measure the output and outcome of communications and their effect on behaviour, attitudes and awareness in the targeted audiences

  • Strong teaming skills when working with other brand, marketing and communications professionals in an organisation to share best practice and expertise

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience of developing communications to support organisational and complex change initiatives

  • Experience of creating and executing internal communication strategies that support business objectives and increase employee engagement

  • Knowledge and experience of best practice internal communication tools

  • Experience of working in professional or financial services

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent

  • Ability to partner with the business to provide credible, strategic advice on both explicit and implicit communications that support business objectives

  • Experience of working in large/matrix organisations, balancing multiple stakeholder requirements
