The Global Compensation Services team provides and manages services for multinational companies who send employees (assignees), and their families, to work and live in another country.

GCS core function is to capture and analyse expatriate compensation data from multiple sources to deliver effective compensation management to their clients and help them achieving full policy and tax compliance.

The opportunity

Our team is expanding rapidly and we can offer you the chance to be involved in a growing service line, operating in an International environment and working with large multinational companies.

We will support qualifications such as ATT, Prince 2 and Payroll qualifications, as well as giving you the opportunity for international secondments to one of our overseas offices, You will also be able to be involved in project work, along with daily operations and can choose to support one of our teams focusing on marketing, service quality or learning and development among others.

Your key responsibilities

  • Facilitate monthly payroll process from start to finish to include collecting, processing and distributing data via multiple reports

  • Conduct first level review of client deliverables, e.g. Pay Instructions, identify errors and proactively seek resolution

  • Compare client deliverables against actual payments and escalate inconsistencies to appropriate stakeholders

  • Validate Year End reporting information and required reconciliations

  • Ensure adherence to EY Quality Risk Management procedures and responsibility for file management

  • Understanding EY software & technology to facilitate preparation of numerous reports and documents, e.g. request updates from software team to meet changes required by clients

  • Liaise with EY global offices regarding monthly deliverables and current regulation

  • Management of shared email inbox or similar, ensuring all required action is undertaken on a timely fashion

  • Awareness of process / contribute to improving project’s efficiency

  • Identify areas of risk or scope opportunity and escalate to management level

  • Responsible for delivery in line with KPIs/SLAs

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Previous experience of working in a global compensation role, in a consulting environment

  • Languages are desirable but not essential
