Market leading growth in our Financial Services Indirect Tax (VAT) team has created an opportunity for a strong VAT tax professional, at Advisor level, to join the team. You will be able to own and lead projects, work on indirect tax technology and work with the management and leadership team to further develop business opportunities. You will have the opportunity to work with clients in the Financial Services industry as part of a globally integrated network of specialists with high quality economics, tax authority, legal and commercial backgrounds. The work is technically challenging, creative and requires you to work closely with our clients’ businesses.

Your key responsibilities

  • You will work collaboratively to deliver on Indirect Tax engagements, taking a professional, practical and commercial approach and ensuring technical excellence

  • Build and maintain tax relationships with our own clients and clients referred by the rest of the EY FS tax practice

  • Responsible for high quality delivery of tax advice and solutions to major financial institutions, ensuring management of risk and reputation

  • Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities and managing expectations

To qualify for the role you will have

  • Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to understand client needs and deliver quality outputs

  • Strong technical Indirect Tax (VAT) experience and commercial skills with the interest to develop further

  • One of the following qualifications: ATT / ACA / CA / CTA (or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA)

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Project management skills, plan and prioritise work, meet deadlines, monitor own budget
