We are looking for a Solutions Architect to join our team as we are looking for fresh ideas and innovative minds to assist with a number of projects in the IT industry.


As a Firm we are on a journey to double the size of our business by 2020. Growing our advisory business is critical to achieving this and consequently we are placing significant investment in growing this part of our Firm

This investment has led to significant growth in our UK Insurance business in recent years and we see significant market opportunities that will enable us to grow further, a key enabler for which is building our team

Much of this is driven by business transformation work but we are also looking to maintain a presence in smaller strategic, advisory work

We are in the middle of major, truly transformational work at several UK, European and Global clients, and our pipeline is equally strong

The Role

Typically you would be working as part of an engagement team whose remit is to effect business transformation


In your role as a Solution Architect you will have responsibility for:

Developing long term trusted advisor relationships with our clients

Building and leading high performing teams

Demonstrating in depth knowledge and experience in one or more market areas and technical skills in Market leading applications

Leading EY practice and people development activities

Ensuring solutions meet clients requirement and match the target application design philosophy and architecture

Ensuring solutions are future proof maintainable and meet performance targets

Explain target system features and implementation approach to client resources

Provide effort estimates for implementing solutions

Lead client workshops to identify requirements and establish benefit cases

Identify gaps between target application functionality and clients requirements


Role Requirements

To be successful in these roles, you will be required to demonstrate the following:

Successful track record in GI Insurance, gained through a top tier consultancy, a specialist financial services consultancy and/or a top tier insurer/Claims organisation

Strong understanding of one or more insurance product area: personal & commercial business lines, claims and reinsurance Good appreciation of current market trends and how these are likely to impact key industry players

Proven ability to communicate application concepts to non-technical client resources and business concepts to technical resources

Proven ability to understand complex client requirements and rationalize them to derive effective solution

Strong understanding of development methodologies and common practices (specifically Agile based methodologies)

Proven ability to bridge the business to technical gap between clients and EY team

Proven ability to balance project priorities and team capabilities to ensure on time delivery

Proven ability to design cost effective solutions to complex business problems
