Job Summary:

The job holder reports to the Global BMC Procurement Category Leader and is responsible for the management and completion of sourcing projects across the BMC (Brand, Marketing & Communications category.

The Procurement Products & Services team is a global team of 140 procurement professionals located across 30 countries who manage an annual procurement spend of $2bn, which is comprised of 4 key categories:

  • Brand Marketing and Communications (BMC),

  • Facilities Management (FM),

  • Professional Services (Internal and External spend)

  • BMC (Recruitment, Learning & Development and Benefits)

In additional to Products & Services, the Procurement organization has 3 global categories of Technology, Real Estate and Travel and we collaborate strongly cross-functionally.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end delivery of sourcing projects for EY business stakeholders and commercial management of EY vendors of EY BMC vendors

  • Adherence to EY Procurement policy and processes, including collaboration with legal, risk management and other EY support functions.

  • Act as trusted business advisor to EY business stakeholders, agreeing procurement projects/pipeline and providing Exceptional Customer Service whilst delivering both brand and quantitative value to the bottom line through cost savings and cost avoidance.

  • Provides structured management and accurate progress reporting on all projects.

Essential functions of the job:

  • Develop strong relationships with key EY BMC business stakeholders and report procurement progress via regular meetings.

  • Build a pipeline of BMC Procurement projects as part of category planning and in collaboration with Procurement leaders and local stakeholders.

  • High quality execution of sourcing projects in line with the Procurement policy and within the timelines as agreed with key stakeholders

  • Achieve value targets whilst innovatively develop new cost reduction strategies and improve negotiable spend via sourcing and demand management including spend consolidation and vendor rationalization.

  • Lead complex Request for Proposals including strong commercial negotiations, supporting the team with data analytics, leading vendor evaluations, and shepherding the contractual negotiations in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners including Legal and risk management.

  • Ensure the adequate planning of renewing existing supplier contracts

  • Minimise contractual risks to EY and manage business relationships with vendors according to EY’s Procurement and Independence policies

  • Work collaboratively with other EY Procurement teams to deliver projects in regions where other procurement teams may not have coverage, or when Products & Services category expertise is required.

  • Provide accurate monthly reporting on deals and timely submission of savings forms.

  • Continuously deliver procurement and BMC category insights to key stakeholders, and education of the Procurement process to local EY staff and stakeholders when needed.

  • Good knowledge of the key BMC vendors and their positioning in the market.

Qualifications:

Knowledge and skills requirements:

  • This individual is a key member of the EY Procurement Team and is responsible for helping to shape and drive Procurement strategies and processes in the BMC category.

  • Strong Procurement expertise and commercial acumen in order to drive sourcing and demand management strategies across a broad array of categories.

  • Proven track record of leading complex Procurement activities, including multi-regional or global projects.

  • Able to align efforts with the key stakeholders and influence these leaders, as necessary, and possess a global mindset.

  • Has experience of Source to Pay (“S2P”) processes including managing sourcing projects on Oracle or SAP system, including the execution of online Rfx and e-Auctions.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders.

  • Energetic, innovative and self-motivated.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Business degree or equivalent

  • CPM qualification (US) or CIPS qualification (UK) is desirable

Experience:

  • Procurement experience, including but not limited to sourcing and demand management and with recent experience of Procurement in the BMC category

  • Experience of working in a global and complex organization and liaising with different cultures

  • Excellent commercial and business acumen skills

  • Strong Business English
