As a risk transformation professional, you will be addressing client issues such as business performance variability, business and process controls transformation; application security integrity, governance, risk and control (GRC) technology enablement, business and/or IT GRC, continuous monitoring, vendor and contract risk management and IT risk management. You will belong to an international network of specialists helping our clients transform risk functions and implement technology solutions that support risk management and governance.

You will be a core member of EY’s fully-dedicated, cross-regional, Blockchain Team, responsible for originating opportunities with new and existing clients – as well as advising clients on distributed ledger technologies, processes, and business models. You will be responsible for driving a coordinated and best-in- class go to market approach through collaborating with, and growing, EY’s existing community of regional technology professionals. You need to be passionate about driving innovation in the industry and help the firm strengthen networks with a broad range of stakeholders including, start-ups, blockchain incumbents, governments, regulators, venture capital companies and other service providers within the blockchain ecosystem. Ideally, you will have experience in building or scaling financial technology start-ups – as well as existing blockchain relationships.
Your key responsibilities
Build trusted relationships with blockchain startups, and other industry participants
Work with multi-functional teams to drive business development activities across EY – directly originating opportunities for engagement teams across the firm
Act as blockchain subject matter expert where required, developing thought leadership solutions and industry content that differentiates EY from competitors.
Drive specific blockchain initiatives both internally and externally – with a particular focus on blockchain partnership models
Be aware of, and engage with, blockchain market activities
Skills and attributes for success
Proactive and entrepreneurial: demonstrable experience in identifying, nurturing and executing new ideas
Ability to operate successfully in, and bridge the divide between, start-up and corporate business environments
Skilled communicator, capable of presenting complex or novel ideas to non-technical audiences; experience in presentation design is desirable
Strong research and critical thinking / analytical skills
Passion for and knowledge of distributed ledger trends and activity
To qualify for the role you must have
Minimum of three years to seven years’ experience in building or scaling a blockchain start-up, working on innovation/ partnerships / corporate development side of a top-tier financial institution; or working on the strategy or technology advisory teams of a top-tier consulting firm, with a focus on Information Technology Services
