Job description: Assurance Operations Support

The EY GSS Assurance group in Bangalore is currently made up of over 200 audit professionals with plans to expand the group to over 150 by the June 2010. This rapid expansion has created the need for a Support Supervisor to oversee operational aspects of the whole Assurance team and to ensure that growth is managed smoothly.

Responsibilities:

Maintain overview of:

  • Resource management within all teams, balancing the needs of the business with individuals’ development needs and career goals.

  • Financial position, ensuring targets are being met.

  • Produce monthly KPI’s/dashboard.

  • All ad-hoc initiatives taking place in the Assurance group.

Resource management:

  • Ensure that the new resource management system is optimally configured and that resource management and requisition protocols are fully embedded in both the GSS team and its customers’ planning processes.

  • Forecast and monitor headcount needs and attrition to identify recruitment needs.

  • Work with the Audit Seniors/mangers to resolve resourcing conflicts.

  • Day-to-day management of the resource team, including regular meetings to review chargeable hours, utilisation, priorities and coaching for the team.

Qualifications:

Finances:

  • Provide the GSS finance team with all necessary information for the monthly billing process

  • Provide budgetary information as required for forecasting purposes

Reporting:

  • Produce weekly/monthly reports for reporting to internal and external stakeholders

Logistics:

  • Work with the GSS Admin team to ensure that transport, floor space, and other logistical needs are planned and met

Ad-hoc requirements:

  • Manage ad-hoc projects for the Assurance team as required

Reporting into:

  • GSS Assurance Operations Manager

Additional skills requirements

  • At least 1 year of work experience

  • Any Bachelors Degree

  • Experience in Resource management/ Billing/Transaction Processing/Data Management is desirable

You will need to:

  • Possess good analytical skills – detail oriented

  • Possess good communication skills, both oral and written

  • Be familiar with Microsoft applications and working knowledge of excel

  • Have a good attitude - should be committed to the work
