Job Summary:

We currently are seeking a highly motivated Manager to manage client engagement teams, work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and manage business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts.

Our Supply Chain & Operations team members provide insights into supply chain transformation. They cover sourcing, procurement, inbound logistics, engineering, manufacturing, final assembly, and product service and delivery. This team focuses on helping clients run their supply chains effectively in order to improve their business performance.

Our Focus Areas within Supply Chain:

  • End 2 End Supply Chain: Drives transformational change across silos, delivering aligned value based on a company’s strategy and value proposal to the customers. It aligns the supply chain to the market synchronizing internal operations of the company, allowing all key areas of a business to work effectively. E2E works closely with all offerings in EY from Supply Chain to TAS to Audit to deliver specialized integrated End 2 End solutions.

  • Outsourcing Advisory and Management (OAM): Outsourcing is no longer just about cutting costs. It’s about improving efficiencies, driving innovation and boosting performance. To meet shareholder and competitive demands, companies are using outsourced business models. Expectations are high, but EY’s outsourcing advisors challenge conventional methods and bring a holistic approach to outsourcing initiatives, from determining if it is the right strategy to executing the functional transformation and implementing provider governance.   • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Product Lifecycle Management is one of the few capabilities that directly impact both top and bottom line company growth. Top line growth is accomplished by helping companies improve their ability to innovate and deliver new and improved products and services to their customers. Simultaneously, PLM enables bottom line growth by increasing the cost competitiveness of their product development processes and products by increasing efficiencies and reducing cycle time. These capabilities are delivered by orchestrating cross-functional and extended enterprise process improvements that are enabled by a variety of information technologies. The transformational nature of these improvements are often delivered in conjunction with other EY service lines and platforms.

  • Planning: Planning is the end to end SC function that orchestrates the resources of a company to procure, produce, distribute and fulfill customer demand on a timely basis with the lowest cost. Planning is cross functional in nature and requires significant collaboration within a company as well as with the trading partners such as key customers and suppliers. Planning provides the forum to bring finance, product development, marketing, sales, manufacturing and supply chain together to minimize risks and capitalize on opportunities to deliver the maximum shareholder value.

  • Distribution & Logistics: Assists clients with performance improvement related to the planning and execution of the flow of goods, information, and cash between sourcing locations, intermediate stocking and processing locations, to the point of consumption in order to address customer requirements. Service offers include logistics strategy, network design, global trade effectiveness, cost to serve analytics, warehouse management, transportation management, reverse logistics, and outsourcing.

  • Manufacturing & Operations: Our M&O practice focuses on Manufacturing Strategy, Network Design, Contract Manufacturing Management, Operational Excellence, maintenance and cost optimization. For non-manufacturing companies Operations focuses on the client’s Front (and Back) Office functions. Operations transformation typically uses IWS, Lean and Six Sigma performance improvement techniques. For manufacturing companies Operations covers After-Sales service supply chain, including service and repair management, spares inventory planning and optimization, and field engineers’ performance improvement.

  • Procurement: The Procurement Transformation practice is structured into three pillars: Procurement Optimization, Category Management & Strategic Sourcing and Total Supplier Risk. The Procurement: Optimization pillar focuses on procurement operating model design, P2P, supplier relationship management, technology optimization and procurement performance management. Category Management & Strategic Sourcing provides spend analytics, category strategy, sourcing and contract management expertise. Total Supplier Risk creates visibility, evaluates and implements mitigation actions to risks throughout a client's supply base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage and motivate client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds while providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members

  • Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels

  • Drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget

  • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes

  • Manage expectations of client service deliver, while staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business

  • Cultivate and manage business development opportunities

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks

  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge

  • Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • A bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience

  • Approximately 3 years of recent experience within a consulting environment

  • A degree with an emphasis in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics

  • Extensive experience in providing advisory services in the supply chain and other operational areas that impact the supply chain function (e.g., assessments, supply chain strategy, distribution/logistics (inbound, outbound, return), inventory management, procurement and sourcing, lean-six sigma, sales and operations planning, cost reduction, etc.)

  • A demonstrated record in driving revenue within existing clients and in developing new prospects at the “C” level of Fortune 500 companies

  • Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members

  • Experience in selling and delivering projects that cover the full lifecycle of assessment, design and implementation support

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 80%

  • A valid driver's license valid in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally
