Join our Finance team and you will help enable EY client account teams and management to run the business effectively. You’ll help to improve engagement profitability, manage enterprise wide risk and support market development activities. You will support EY planning, reporting and forecasting and analysis, or help EY people manage day-to-day activities, such as managing engagements, process and auditing time and expense or invoice processing. Job Summary:

As Financial Management Associate (FMA) Senior Associate, you'll serve in a financial advisory and support capacity, helping senior executives with financial analysis, proposing pricing strategies, and analyzing budgets against actual figures. You'll also advise on the billing strategy for assigned clients. As well as being the main contact for client-related financial reporting and analysis, you'll also help EY's executives comply with EY finance and quality policies. Additionally, you'll provide timely cash flow projections for client-related business.

Through your strategic approach, and your ability to influence others, you'll provide meaningful analysis and make strong recommendations, to help executives achieve their financial goals for each client.

You'll support the EY's core and strategic growth market accounts, while your innovative ideas should improve efficiency, both quantitatively and qualitatively. You'll communicate leading practices to clients and co-workers alike, and act as a mentor or coach to the FMAs. You may also be asked to participate in national projects or initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the daily inventory accounting functions required by the firm

  • Help client service executives resolve potential problems or last-minute issues

  • Help train other FMAs, as well as client-serving executives (CSE)

  • Suggest and implement leading practices for improving processes, for both the Finance group and the client-serving staff

  • Delegate financial administrative tasks to a virtual financial assistant (FA) team

  • Identify and communicate FMA/FA issues to the FMA Manager, Assistant Area Director of Finance, or Area Director of Finance, as appropriate

  • Maintain a standard book of business, such as strategic growth market accounts or core accounts

  • Proactively communicate and escalate inventory issues to the Partner/Engagement Manager and FMA Manager

  • Serve as a subject matter specialist on EY's Global Financial Information System (GFIS) engagement software, practices and policies

  • Maintain multiple executive-level relationships

  • Supervise the quality and quantity of work flow within the FA group

  • Serve as a coach and/or mentor to FMAs

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration; Master's degree plus

  • A minimum of 3-5 years related professional experience, with additional financial management experience beneficial

  • English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong teaming abilities, with demonstrated virtual teaming ability

  • Effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word programs, with an ability to learn new applications quickly

  • Good delegation and time management skills

  • Adept at taking a consultative approach in business transactions, and influencing executive decision-making

  • Strong mentoring skills
