The opportunity

Our FSO Assurance

practice is the market leader in providing assurance services to Hedge Funds,

which is one of the fastest growing areas of our business. The rapid

growth of our Hedge Fund Assurance practice means we have recruitment needs at

the Manager level.

Our Hedge Fund Assurance

team specialises in providing assurance services to Hedge Funds. This

specialisation allows our team to develop deep industry knowledge, which

enables us to understand our clients and provide exceptional service to our



Your keyresponsibilities

Everything you’ll do will come back to providing exceptional audit

activities for our clients. Colleagues and clients from the Financial Services

industry will look to you first for answers, so you’ll be a high-profile

contact when it comes to resolving complex issues.

Skills and attributesfor success

  • Manage the auditengagement by defining the audit strategy, in consultation with the seniormanager/partner, and executing it in compliance with our policies andprotocols

  • Build and maintain client relationships

  • Help to create apositive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team membersand help them to develop.

  • Effectively managethe Audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues andaccounting technical matters

  • Lead and managefieldwork on clients’ sites including liaising with other departments,such as Tax and valuations specialists to ensure the smooth delivery ofthe Audit process

  • Expertise in accountingframeworks (IFRS, US GAAP) and in related financial reporting matters

  • Identify areasrequiring improvement in the clients’ business processes and possiblerecommendations and prepare and deliver these to clients

  • Build and maintain strong networks internally and externally.

To qualify for the roleyou must have

  • At least 5 years’ experienceas an auditor

  • A strong academic record,including a degree and progress towards/completion of a recognisedaccounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA)

  • Experience in Wealth andAsset Management sector and the Hedge Fund industry is an advantage

  • Relevant experience as asenior auditor within a Big 4 or second tier accounting firm.

  • Proven track record with developing andmaintaining client relationships.

  • Strong project management skills with a provenability to execute under pressure

  • Expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) andin related financial reporting matters.

Ideally,you’ll also have

  • Experience in US GAAP anadvantage
