Our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team works with clients to manage their capital agenda to drive competitive advantage and increased returns. As part of a global team of 10,000 professionals in 100 countries you will advise clients on preserving, optimising, raising or investing capital. Major groups (or, as we call them, sub-service lines and competencies) within TAS include Mergers and Acquisition Services, Project Finance, Restructuring Services, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Transaction Tax, and Valuation and Business Modelling.

You will help guide clients through the model review, model support and model-build activities necessary to make key decisions and improve strategic outcomes. About the opportunity

We’re looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Valuation & Business Modelling team during this time of growth. Serve as a member of multiple client engagement teams, performing financial modelling valuations for management planning; mergers and acquisitions; tax and financial reporting; and shareholder disputes.

As part of our broader Valuation & Business Modelling team, you’ll work with your colleagues to manage, deliver and review a wide range of valuations and financial modelling for strategic planning, transactions, tax, financial reporting, and shareholder disputes. Working with a wide variety of clients and industries, you’ll gain experience in understanding client issues and building client relationships. In your role as a Consultant/Senior Consultant, you’ll:

  • Analyse financial and other information in relation to our clients

  • Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members

  • Liaise with clients regarding business performance and prospects and understanding key valuation drivers

  • Identify issues and propose strategies related to the valuation procedures executed

  • Actively contribute to report generation and valuation- financial modelling

  • Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client’s business

  • Use current technology and tools to enhance service delivery.

  • Foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment

We’re looking for people with the following experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree and approximately 1-3 years of related work experience

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and a sound grasp of financial accounting. Achievement of, or progress towards, CA, CFA or an equivalent post graduate qualification would be advantageous

  • Demonstrated experience in the application of different valuation methodologies

  • Demonstration of interpersonal and client relationship skills and the ability to build internal and external networks

  • Strong excel and financial modelling skills

  • Strong report writing skills

  • An ability to manage multiple commitments and stakeholders
