EY’s Risk Management group is responsible for the development, implementation and on-going monitoring of the firm’s risk management, compliance and conflict management processes. We are currently looking for an Associate to join our dynamic team of risk management professionals in Toronto. As an integral part of the Risk Management team, this individual will support the firm’s business relationship evaluation, independence and conflict management processes by performing research, collecting and analyzing data and communicating the results to client-serving teams across Canada.



  • Reviewing, analyzing and understanding national and global requests for business relationship review, conflict checks and independence research;

  • Completing required research by following established processes and utilizing internal and external databases;

  • Analyzing research results by compiling and cross-referencing information against research requests;

  • Drafting written communication to client-serving engagement teams which summarizes information, identifies areas of concern, and provides recommended actions with specific timelines; and/or

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Strong research, investigative and analytical skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal with confidential information discreetly and to handle difficult and demanding situations

  • Proven track records in delivering high quality client service

  • Ability to work in a busy, deadline driven environment focused on accuracy,

  • Ability to apply critical thinking skills and sound judgment to solve problems

  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and adapt to evolving policies and procedures

  • Post secondary education or equivalent business experience required

  • Experience in working in a professional services firm an asset
