EY’s Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) helps clients with improving business performance through a focus on providing supply chain advisory services that achieve measurable benefits in operational effectiveness and strategic decision making.

As a SC&O Manager, an important part of your role will be actively establishing, maintaining and strengthening internal and external relationships. With guidance from partners and senior managers, you'll oversee SC&O projects as well as leverage an extensive relationship network to develop and close business opportunities.

Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You'll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives.

Your role in leading teams or parts of teams on engagements will depend on the size of engagement and will be under the responsibility of higher levels. They will look to you to anticipate and identify risks and escalates issues as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Client responsibilities

  • Manage and take a leadership role in EY’s SC&O client engagements

  • Identify and lead business development opportunities

  • Create long term, trusted advisor relationships with senior client management

  • Assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders

  • Oversee and take active part in creating project documentation and creating relevant reports

  • Build strong internal relationships within the Advisory practice and across other service lines

People Management responsibilities

  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff

  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff

  • Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training SC&O professionals

  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills

  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures

Technical skills requirements

The successful candidate will have direct and relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Implementing Lean Six Sigma and managing projects under this methodology.

  • Developing and/or implementing leading business processes.

  • Optimizing logistics and networks for large international organizations.

  • Improving inventory management.

  • Experience with SAP implementation (Blueprint, Configuration, Support)

  • Driving technology-enabled supply chain transformation. Familiarity with leading supply chain technologies such as SAP, MM, WM modules, Oracle, Ariba etc. is an asset.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will generally be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Demonstrated experience with driving change and procurement cost savings at leading practices organizations

  • Experience in Retail, Power & Utilities or the Public Sector is an asset

  • Outstanding academic record including a bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience

  • A post-graduate degree and/or a professional designation (e.g. SCMP, CPSM) is an asset

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (and know when to lead and when to follow)

  • Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communications skills including oral, written, and presentation

  • A high level of motivation and a self-starting attitude

  • An ability to think outside of the box, and thrive on new challenges

  • A willingness to travel on short notice to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 50-70%

  • Full bilingualism in both, French and English languages is required
