Join our Finance team and you will help enable EY client account teams and management to run the business effectively. You’ll help to improve engagement profitability, manage enterprise wide risk and support market development activities. You will support EY planning, reporting and forecasting and analysis, or help EY people manage day-to-day activities, such as managing engagements, process and auditing time and expense or invoice processing. You’ll also work with other parts of our organisation, sharing your financial experience and insights to achieve specific goals. The Financial Assistant (FA) is part of the overall AU Billings team, responsible for bill creation and
reporting for some of Australia’s major accounts. In addition, the FA will
offer support to the AU Collections team, to contact debtors for payment of
overdue accounts and provide feedback to Partners in relation to their debtors
and discuss resolutions for disputes.

Financial Assistant responsibilities.
About the opportunity
In your role as a Financial Assistant you’ll have major responsibilities/duties as follows:
Process invoices via theengagement information management system.
Maintain engagement managementrequests
Manage Major client reportingin relation to monthly/quarterly billing.
Liaise with other Finance rolesin order to achieve desired outcomes (e.g. maintain contact with AR team toensure timely reissue of credit notes).
Provide general administrativesupport to the Billings Manager.
Respond to ad hoc requests(e.g. gather and interpret data and provide reporting when requested by thebusiness).
Contact allocated debtors forpayment of overdue debts ensuring all debtors and invoices are actioned.
Utilise Credentials diaryfunction to manage when debtors are actioned.
Prompt handling of debtorenquiries i.e. copy invoices, advise Partner of client’s concern or query, etc.
Ensure aged (>90 days)unpaid debts are actioned more frequently, if appropriate, to reduce revenuedays.
Adhere to the Query EscalationProcess

achieve the agreed performance outcomes.
We’re looking for people with the following experience:
Higher School Certificate orequivalent.
TAFE Diploma in Accounting (orrelated discipline) is desirable.
Experience in a professionalservices environment.
Intermediate MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint,Lotus Notes, and Internet Explorer proficiency.
Experience operating complexfinancial systems (e.g. GFIS or PeopleSoft).
Data entry skills.
Strong numerical reasoningskills.
Strong negotiation skills –both with external and internal clients
Ability to work autonomously aswell as strong teaming skills1 criteria
