Job Overview

EY, a leading Global Accounting Firm, seeks a dynamic and efficient Accounts Payable Assistant with experience who will assist with the processing of all Vendor invoices received and responsible for payment of all Vendors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.

About the Team

This is a great opportunity to join a busy Accounts Payable Team within Finance. This role is based in Dublin and you will be part of a team of 3 people where you will receive exposure to some of EY’s most diverse and exciting clients. Responsibilities

  • Managing supplier accounts, reconciliations and payments

  • Review of bi-weekly payment runs for 3 rd party vendors

  • Monthly payments to EY Vendors – manual and electronic

  • Liaising with offshore AP Team daily

  • Monitoring supplier invoices and correct classification

  • Reconciliation of intercompany payments working with offshore AP team

  • Liaising with internal staff and clients to resolve queries

  • Interacting with internal staff to follow up on outstanding invoices

  • Clearing any outstanding AP items appearing on bank reconciliations

  • Other finance tasks when required or instructed by the AP Finance Manager

Qualifications:

Key Requirements

  • Ideally holder of accounting technician qualification or studying towards accounting qualification

  • Excellent experience in bank reconciliation and international payments

  • Minimum two years’ experience in an accounts payable role in a professional environment

  • Ability to work to strict guidelines and adhere to targets and schedules

  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyse information skilfully

  • Ability to be a team player that can build strong relationships with team, managers and other key stakeholders

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities by considering risk, importance and level of urgency

  • Resilience, flexibility and be calm under pressure

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral

  • Strong IT skills including advanced use of Excel, Microsoft Word
