Qualifications:

Your responsibilities:

As a Financial Advisory professional you will be responsible for delivering from small-scale to large-scale, complex projects.

Successful Consultants should have the following skills:

  1. Strong technical accounting, financial and regulatory skills to be able to run projects for finance functions such as:
  • Accounting standards implementation and gap conversions

  • Assisting client with IFRS related matters: conversions, new standards…

  • Transaction accounting support

  • Financial reporting optimization

  • Finance function optimization (fast close, finance transformation, process review)

  • Hedge accounting and valuation support

  • Support on management accounting and reporting software implementation

  • Support on FinRep

  • Controlling, Management Performance

  • Basel II, Basel III (LCR, NSFR), Corep support

  • Consolidation

  1. Engagement management skills
  • Ensuring PMO so that the engagement stays on track in terms of timing, budget etc.

  • Ensuring engagement is focused on delivering quality to the client

  • Coaching and mentoring team members of the engagement team

  • Delivering value to the client by providing knowledge, ideas and solutions for improving the business and streamline processes

  • Ensuring that engagements are executed in accordance with the firm's methodologies and guidance, professional standards, and local legal and regulatory requirements

  1. Commercial Support
  • Identifying/following up on opportunities

  • Preparing go-to-market material

  • Working with EY subject experts to develop perspectives and insights for the client or industry

  • Preparing client proposals

  • Giving professional and convincing presentations

Your profile:

  • You hold a university degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy or equivalent

  • You have 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in accounting related projects in either an Audit/Consulting firm or in a Bank

  • You are fluent in English and either French or German

  • You have strong accounting knowledge with expertise in IAS 39/IFRS 9/Financial Instruments

  • The knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP is a plus

  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills with an execution focus

  • You are able to manage a team; you demonstrate strong ownership as well as autonomy

  • You demonstrate a strong commercial awareness

  • You are clearly client-oriented.

  • You are an effective and confident communicator.

  • You demonstrate excellent written, communication and presentation skills.

  • You show well established organization, multitasking and prioritization skills.
