Manager Global Trade– Indirect Tax – Operating Model Effectiveness ETC
The international tax landscape is changing rapidly and EY believes the changes come with many opportunities and challenges. To help expand our international tax practice, to pursue the various new opportunities and specifically to contribute global trade/ customs aspects to our OME practice, we are looking for a senior manager to join our international tax team within the ETC OME.
EMEIA Tax Center’s Operating model effectiveness (‘ETC OME’) is an integrated team of direct tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, accounting, and IT/ERP process, legal and business advisory services. It is a virtual team located across Europe driving major operating model design and implementation projects for large multinational clients.
Your key responsibilities
When working as a Manager Global Trade at EY, you will support Operating Model Effectiveness (OME) projects from a global trade perspective . Concept development, sales pursuit and proposals for new projects are also part of the job. Also, you will be drafting client advice and coordinating inputs from different geographies (reports/memos/presentations) . You will also be involved in data analysis to identify global trade optimization opportunities.

To qualify for the role you must have
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in law/ tax advisory/ accounting or similar field;
MBA or similar qualification focusing on project management, integration, statistical / data analytics will be an advantage
High level proficiency in English language
Global trade/customs advisory experience in a consultancy, major corporation, service company, or law dirm (over 5 years of experience)
Subject-matter expertise in the relevant areas of global trade (e.g. valuation, origin management, trade compliance)
Good command on using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)Ideally, you’ll also have
Working knowledge regarding the service capabilities, roles and responsibilities of customs brokers, freight forwarders and logistics service providers
Experience in working with integrated tax and supply chain/ process improvement team
Knowledge of customs data analytics and scenario planning
Knowledge of other presentation/ analytics software (e.g. Tableau, QlikView, Alteryx or Blueprism) will be considered as an advantage
Knowledge of European language such as German, French, Dutch
