Job Summary:

As HR Information Systems Supervising Associate, you'll design, develop, and upgrade HR Management Systems (HRMS) applications (including business intelligence). You'll be the point of contact for reengineering and improving HR processes, and defining requirements. You'll also develop, maintain and support a variety of HR reports and queries, using appropriate reporting tools. In addition, you'll develop client user procedures, guidelines and documentation, to support software applications. You'll be expected to deliver end-user technology support and training.

You'll be expected to provide constant infrastructure support, involving consistently high volumes of work.

In this role, you'll receive general supervision, and update your supervisor on projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design, development, implementation, maintenance, upgrade and support of reporting information systems. This includes testing systems, maintaining system tables, and documenting processes and results.

  • Design, maintain and support complex reports (ad hoc and standard) for clients. Help develop standard reports for ongoing needs. Audit employee data in the HRMS, to confirm data integrity.

  • Support HR survey and application development (e.g., global People survey.

  • Provide troubleshooting support to Areas or Sub-Areas. This includes researching and resolving problems, performing scheduled activities, and recommending ways to meet requirements.

  • Acting as lead project manager, work with internal teams on system service packs, releases and upgrades.

  • Manage test plans and scripts, and analyze configuration options.

  • Recommend ways to make systems more efficient and effective. This may involve continuous improvement projects, enhancements, innovative approaches, and changes to business processes.

  • Be proactive about suggesting system improvements.

  • Manage intake and triage support for high-volume technical requests. Document the requirements and user cases for systems design.

  • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation, and manage remedy tickets.

  • Train client users on systems as needed.

  • Adhere to production support standards and service level agreements.

  • Be on call for planned and unplanned work, during complex system changes, such as year-end, and upgrades.

  • Work occasionally during weekends, for regular system upgrades and maintenance.

To qualify, candidates must have:

Desired knowledge and skills:

  • Excellent understanding of HRMS database design, structures, functions and processes.

  • Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.

  • Robust project management and analytical skills.

  • English language skills - excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Good customer service skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Advanced understanding of the principles and practices of a specific professional discipline.

  • A minimum of 5-7 years related experience, preferably with HRMS systems.

  • Experience of virtually managing people and highly complex projects in multiple country cultures, where there is limited opportunities for travel.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, HR Management or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
