Job Summary:

P&S Operations Lead will be responsible for the day to day operations of P&S and working closely with the Global P&S lead and other members of the P&S leadership team to define, manage and deliver the execution of a number of projects that will support five strategic priorities:

  1. Category Strategy

  2. People engagement and HPT

  3. Innovation

  4. Brand Value

  5. Top Line Growth

Key Responsibilities:

The P&S Operations Lead is responsible with the day-to-day operations and category team engagement for the P&S sourcing function. The core work streams are as follows:

Monthly reporting & Savings Validation

a. Monthly reporting – manage the production of the P&S reporting suite including the monthly team dashboard and report showing spend reporting, projects and value delivered

b. Value delivered – monthly collation, and compilation of management reporting of brand value delivered, savings planned, achieved and costs avoided by P&S sourcing teams.

c. Other reporting including stakeholder overviews for each Area, Region etc.

Management of team budget and headcount

a. Budgetary management of P&S budget - covering headcount, travel, training and other associated costs

b. Keep an up-to-date and accurate org chart and a monthly update on vacancies and recruitment progress

Maintain the team collaboration platform on Sharepoint:

a. Maintain a knowledge base accessible for all P&S and giving them easy access to tools and processes, organization chart, P&S Yammer acct all in the aim of sharing knowledge and best practice

b. Manage the submission of value delivered via sharepoint site

Develop Vendor and Contract knowledge base

a. Ensure P&S has a robust contract management process utlising CLM

b. Vendor spend analytics – support regional leads in the production of category spend and analysis

c. Provide executive vendor overviews on key vendors as required for briefing documents including balance of trade information

Continual Process Improvement

a. Provide support and P&S input into the continual review of the procurement process with the aim of improving speed to market and removal of admin burden from the sourcing teams through simplification, automation and robotics.

b. Provide update to Global P&S Lead and leadership team via P&S CLT as well as provide updates to P&S team through regular P&S Operations newsletter

Audit Lead. Be the lead contact for internal and external audits of the P&S team

a. Coordinate material gathering and report generation for the audit committees

Contribute to the development of the P&S Strategic Plan

a. Assist with the formation and implementation of P&S strategic priorities. For example assist with the strategic category management program across all Regions

b. Track and report on progress against key P&S goals

Develop and maintain robust training program

a. Training program for new Joiners with a focus on EY and the Procurement Process

b. Training programs for new and updated procedures for existing employees, such as CLM and SRM modules

Off Shore (GDS) oversight: This leader is also responsible for overseeing and maintaining off-shore resources

Program Management

a. Provide strategic guidance to teams, assess program performance, identify areas for improvement and host meetings between groups.


a. Ensure EDS ES P&S team are trained in all the necessary processes, value delivery tracking, reporting etc

b. Work with EDS ES Lead for Procurement to identify any specific areas for development and request training is provided by GDS ES unless part of Procurement/P&S training program.


a. Ensure that GDS-ES lead and CLT members are collaborating to ensure all objectives are met and issues identified and resolved

Organizational strategy

a. Continue to evolve the GDS-ES organization structure

Financial Management

a. Review and approve all GDS charges and aim to maximize ROI


a. Interview candidates for key leadership roles.

Opportunity Assessment

a. Continue to identify and implement efficiency opportunities


a. Manage the production of the monthly team dashboard showing Department transactions, spend, savings reporting and trend analysis reporting against budget.

b. Review monthly with Management and GDS-ES Lead


Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:

The ability to build and sustain key relationships is critical to achieving value in this role. Collaborative internal relationships need to be maintained with and including Finance, GCO, Independence and all levels of Procurement.

This role requires strong people leadership skills to bring innovative ideas, to motivate their team and to drive transformational change. Specific skills requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Understanding of strategic sourcing

  • Excellent PowerPoint skills - complex information must be simplified and presented consistently to standards expected by Executive stakeholders

  • Very good relationship, interpersonal skills and cultural awareness

  • Self-starter, and ability to work independently

  • Strong project management and change management skills

  • Ability to have a commercial outlook and understanding of EY’s business

  • Solid analytical skills


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Advanced degree preferred
