The opportunity

As a Manager or Associate Director in the Valuation and Business Modelling team in Perth, you’ll join a group of highly experienced, talented professionals who bring to clients excellence in accounting, corporate finance and valuations. As part of our broader Valuation & Business Modelling team, you’ll work with your team to manage, deliver and review a wide range of valuations and financial modelling for strategic planning, transactions, tax, financial reporting, and shareholder disputes. This is a great opportunity where you can play a key role with our clients, sharing your knowledge and providing valued insights to enhance the business relationship.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing our clients with valuations of their businesses and assets, building financial models and undertaking financial analysis and advice. You’ll spend your time working with clients from a diverse range of industries, managing multiple client engagement teams, preparing written reports and presentations outlining your valuation findings. You’re likely to balance your time gaining an understanding of client issues whilst also managing and developing junior members of the team.


Skills and attributes for success

  • An aptitude for managing multiple projects and stakeholders

  • Excellent interpersonal and client relationship skills with the ability to build internal and external networks

  • Proven ability for developing and coaching junior staff members

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to respond pro-actively to client requirements

  • Sector expertise in resources preferred (international experience is advantageous)

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and a sound grasp of financial accounting

  • A degree qualification in a related discipline such as Business, Finance, Economics

  • Technical expertise in the application of different valuation methodologies and techniques

  • At least four years’ of related work experience for Manager and 6 years’ – for Associate Director

  • Advanced level of excel and financial modelling skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A post graduate qualification such as the CA, CFA, or an equivalent will be highly desirable.
