The opportunity

Our practice will support the integration, growth and delivery of EY’s managed services for commercial, government and financial services. Allowing our clients to concentrate on driving their business forward rather than spending their time looking backwards. Your key responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for working directly with clients to support enterprise applications by setting up and running the managed services/outsourced projects. Your focus will be on due diligence, service transition, steady state attainment and ongoing continuous improvement. You will lead service transition, service stabilization and continuous improvement of various applications in production environment. You will also be responsible for managing large onshore/offshore teams with various technical skills required for ongoing application support of various enterprise applications.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Demonstrate ability to lead clients through service transition, service stabilization and continuous improvement of various applications in production environment

  • Ability to maintain client commitment and SLAs on application availability, incident response, incident resolution, performance and disaster recovery

  • Co-ordinate with various internal suppliers and external vendors towards providing application managed services to client.

  • Effectively manage and motivate onshore/offshore teams with diverse technical skills and backgrounds fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment. Play an active role in counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization and develop high performing teams.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years minimum work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience.

  • 12 to 15 years of experience in outcome based Production Support & Maintenance projects with SLAs, preferably from a top tier Global Outsourcing services provider.

  • Service Manager with Managed Services exposure

  • Required experience with SLA/KPI, ITIL V3.

  • Should be well conversant with enterprise COTS applications and related technologies:

  • Integration frameworks

  • Web Service Stacks

  • Architectural components

  • Infrastructure

  • Networking.

  • Significant expertise in setting up and running of Managed Services / outsourced projects – key responsibility areas are Due Diligence, Service Transition, Steady state attainment and ongoing continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated people management experience. Should have managed a reasonably large team (25-40 FTEs) across locations in an onshore-offshore model

  • Experience supporting multiple applications for different stakeholders.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical writing and client presentations.

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking through a proven ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations, industry practice and new application technologies.

  • Willingness to travel 25% to meet client needs.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience supporting new generation applications in production environment (Big data, java based applications, etc.)
