As a Tax Markets Deployment Manager, Assistant Director, you will manage markets deployment activities of a smaller service line, or a number of sub-service lines. Working closely with service line partners and Region leaders, you will develop market initiatives for strategic, multi-disciplinary teams. You will also develop integrated, client-focused market strategies, to enable a service line to meet its revenue and other goals. In addition, you will manage these strategies through the use of appropriate collateral materials
To monitor trends, you will use internal and external research surveys, relevant subject matter insights, and thought leadership. You will also establish protocols for integrating marketing trends into market strategies
In this role, you will work independently, with little direction or oversight.
Support market development activity for assigned service or sub-service lines, through knowledge sharing and help with execution
Work with service line leaders and co-lead and coordinate market strategies through communications, meetings and client events. Set and manage meeting agendas, act as the central point of contact for the markets leadership team, co-manage the development of market materials, using all available internal and external communication channels, helping to choose appropriate vehicles for each effort
Work with Region Business Development organizations to identify market trends and needs on a geographical basis. This will help to customize nationally based market initiatives (such as subject matter professional visits/roadshows, etc.)
Participate directly in market leadership initiatives and activities at the discretion of the service line’s Markets Leadership Team
Help to develop the service line or sub-service line’s marketing strategy and plan. Hold sub - service line market strategy meetings and coach on best practices to address market needs
Monitor and report marketplace activity, pipeline activity and wins on a national level. Adjust strategies accordingly
Pass relevant market research to service line leaders, where it concerns market and client service initiatives, such as leading practices, and marketplace issues, challenges and risks
Support client-facing meetings, pursuits and proposals in Americas and Regions. This will involve providing examples of leading practice market collateral, research, business analysis and competitive intelligence
Build relationships with service line leaders, in order to successfully direct their market efforts. Guide the sub-service line’s ideas and activities, to conform to the firm’s market strategy and branding guidelines. Help focus the service line on the highest priority or highest value initiatives
Quickly gain knowledge of the services offered by the service line, understand how these services are delivered to clients and the role specialists play in the delivery. Also, understand the role and operations of other major services the inner-relate with the service line
To qualify, candidates must have:
Excellent written and verbal communication
Very good presentation skills
Ability to interact confidently with sub-service line leaders in order to influence an outcome without direct authority
Competent at coordinating multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
Ability to work both independently and within teams, operating in a virtual, broad-based team
Confident in utilizing internal subject matter resources
Strong time management and organizational skills
Robust technical skills (Microsoft Office, with special emphasis on PowerPoint, Lotus Notes and Outlook)
Demonstrated success in building internal and external relationships at a senior level
A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience; previous sales and/or marketing experience desirable
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
