Join our Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team and you’ll directly support and promote our brand and reputation. Through internal communications, public relations and corporate communications, you’ll provide a wide range of marketing and communications services to internal and external audiences. These include current and future clients, our current and future employees, alumni, regulators, the media and the communities within which we operate.

The opportunity

As a sector marketing senior associate within BMC, you will play a key role in positioning EY’s distinctive brand throughout the consumer industry, comprising the consumer products, retail and food and ag sectors. This role will be required to understand sector issues and then leverage that insight to both support development and execution of go-to-market activities. This includes development, publishing and promotion of marketing materials across digital marketing channels, orchestration of in-person and virtual events, proactively managing updates of marketing activities to key stakeholders as well as tracking ROI and marketing results. This role will have US-wide scope and will be expected to collaborate closely with our global industry and service line centers.

Your key responsibilities

  • Engages with select subject matter experts to understand industry/sector issues.

  • Collaborate with Global Sector Marketing to inform and activate global campaigns as appropriate

  • Leverages internal support teams for certain content development providing guidance as relates to channel execution and campaign analytics (i.e., ey.com, social media, PR). Reviews work to make sure it is high quality and aligned with strategy.

  • Advises regarding the internal posting of content across the US Industry teams, Global Markets and other key stakeholders.

  • Helps manage the marketing dashboard, in particular the measurement analytics which track ROI for the programs by working closely with the Accounts teams.

  • Participates in Markets and Markets Client or other functional/internal client programs networking meetings as required.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent marketing initiatives

  • Strength in working independently to resolve challenges while maintaining an active dialogue with leaders and stakeholders

  • Team with the right internal and external resources (i.e. Communications internal and PR/social; Service Line; Agencies) to develop and deliver campaigns

  • Supports content creation by driving the SCORE and ey.com publishing processes.

  • Ability to track the effectiveness of overall marketing campaigns and individual initiatives, providing measurement reports and status updates

  • Leads events and sponsorships that are in the annual Sector Marketing plan.

  • Project manager for small/medium marketing initiatives, generally under the direction of sector marketing manager.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree with a marketing or communications major or equivalent experience

  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience; marketing experience is required

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • As a portion of this role involves creating time sensitive material for clients (internal and external) and programs in a fast-paced environment, efficient time management and prioritization skills are essential

  • Responsibility to adhere to internal reporting requirements and risk management protocols

  • Ability to work independently as well as within virtual teams

  • Strong leadership skills to manage projects across service teams

  • Ability to proactively share marketing insights and market knowledge
