Director – Accounting Compliance and Reporting (ACR)

The opportunity

EY is looking for Director responsible for driving the growth agenda for the ACR business in NCR.

Your key responsibilities

Go-To-Market (GTM) & Business Development:

• Develop and Implement an ACR Markets/Accounts strategy for distinct ACR offerings targeted at clients within identified industry segments and market segments

• Develop and sell new solutions (managed services, distinct technology solutions etc.) for the ACR practice as part of the GTM initiative

• Enhance internal and external awareness of EY ACR services (branding) and support development of proposals/presentations etc as required

• Build strong relationships across all Service Lines and with the BD team to help surface new client opportunities and drive sales

• Periodic monitoring and reporting of sales opportunities, pipeline and wins

• Identify opportunities for other services and support in cross-sell for Tax, CoSec & other services

Client Engagement Responsibilities:

• Should have experience in a client facing / client serving role

• Manage all client deliverables (AR, AP, GL, Reporting, Statutory compliances etc.)

• Manage the team and ensure that the team consistently delivers quality results

• Interact with clients to understand requirements, set expectations, address concerns, and work closely with their internal leadership team

• Responsible for meeting agreed client Service Level Agreements (SLA) on Turn Around Time (TAT) & Accuracy, as applicable

• Review and execution of quality deliverables

• Effectively manage escalations and provide guidance and coaching to the team

• Understand and adhere to EY Quality & Risk Management and Independence requirements

People responsibilities:

• Responsible for building and managing a high performing team

• Periodic team counselling, mentoring and timely appraisals

• Providing effective solutions and guiding team members on various Functional issues

• Effective delegation, resource allocations and multi-tasking

• Address other key elements of the people agenda (hiring, training, attrition, people engagement and issue resolution)

• Should have managed a minimum team size of 10

Skills and attributes for success

• To be a SME in Accounting/Compliance and also lead a team of Managers, Executives and Associates on select client engagements and monitor related day-to-day operations

• Motivated and energetic professional

• Logical and analytical bent of mind

• Decisive and expresses a 'point of view'

• Good business knowledge, local market intelligence and relationships in NCR

To qualify for the role you must have

• Chartered Accountant

• At least 10-12 years of post-qualification work experience

• Experience in core Finance function

• Very strong Excel, Power Point skills

• Very strong Accounting Knowledge, should be well versed in all statutory compliances

• Experience / exposure to Ind-AS, USGAAP & IFRS

Ideally you’ll also have

• Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills

• Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative

• Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)

• Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility
