Position summary

A multi-talent who combines both, creative design skills and a high attention to detail. Produces comprehensive designs and consistent layouts for printable or electronic client deliverables. Performs basic conceptualization of ideas as basis for individual designs. Cannot only create innovative output, but can also follow strict rules to produce professional and clean reports in alignments with exact instructions from the client. Has a great eye for detail to fix the consistency of complex documents and to ensure a professional, flawless output. Manages routine design projects from concept through production, effectively prioritizes work and balances multiple priorities. Good communication skills for an efficient collaboration with the Project Management Team in Germany.

Functions and responsibilities

  • Develops creative designs and innovative ideas for client deliverables and adjusts reports in alignment with strict design rules.

  • Effectively creates layouts with strong typography and appropriate use of color, images and fonts, allowing good readability.

  • Effectively utilizes styles, master pages and templates.

  • Reviews and reworks report files to ensure that consistency is maintained and all rules from the report style guide are adhered to.

  • Proficient and remains up-to-date with graphic software tools and equipment required of the position, such as PowerPoint (most important), Word, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat etc.

  • Works with internal software add-ins to create tailor-made and brand compliant output.

  • Maintains awareness of "state-of-the-art" techniques, equipment, best practices and developments within the design community.

  • Relates design work to the client's business needs and specific instructions.

  • Supports EY branding.

  • Understands, implements, and strictly adheres to the quality standards and procedures established by EY, including CDS standards and guidelines.

  • May cross-train in additional design disciplines to provide flexibility during peak times.

Experience

  • Approximately 3 years of related design experience

Skills and attributes

  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Word

  • Knowledge of Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and SharePoint is a plus

  • Fluent communication in English, combined with interpersonal and teamwork skills

  • Relentless focus on the customer service and attention for detail

  • Excellent work ethic and the ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work efficiently and effectively

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is a plus
