The person supports direct tax controller in overseeing all tax, (excluding indirect and payroll) compliance, tax accounting, forecasting and tax function activities, required to meet the Company's internal and external tax obligations in US and non-US jurisdictions. The person is a key member of tax team, who supports direct tax controllers in collaborating with the Client’s tax department and EY country teams for completing end-to-end activities relating to tax and tax accounting.
Develop brief understanding of day-to-dayactivities and transactions related to tax and tax accounting matters and makesure they are properly addressed.
Global direct tax compliance – Assistin preparation of income tax returns and work papers for foreign jurisdictionalincome taxes with internal teams or with EY country teams.
Income Tax Provision – Preparequarterly and annual tax provision for US GAAP purposes. Work with EY countryteams for sign-off and delivery to client.
Statutory Tax Provision – Manage andassist in preparation of annual statutory tax provision as per local GAAP withEY country teams. Assist in data compilation and work paper preparation, whereneeded.
Forecasting – Prepare, review andmanage cash taxes forecast by jurisdictions and report to client monthly orquarterly basis. Consult with EY country teams, where necessary.
Tax Payments – Prepare and reviewestimated and extension tax payments and manage tax payment process. Work withEY country team, where necessary.
Tax account reconciliation – Prepareand review balance sheet tax account reconciliation, collect supportingdocuments and work with client on reconciling items. Prepare and bookrectification journal entries, where needed.
Other Tax functions – Prepare andreview journal entry package, return to provision entries, etc., and submitthem for client’s approval
Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in accounting / MBA Finance
Threeto five years of experience in US and/or Non-US direct tax compliance, good knowledge and experience in income tax accounting (ASC740 and FIN48), including a mixture of Big 4 and industry experience.
Strongaccounting skillswith interest to learn US and Non-US direct tax compliance.
Strongcomputer skillsincluding an intermediate knowledge of Excel, Wordand PowerPoint
