Job Description


The purpose of this role is for scoping, design / implement, various IT Infrastructure solutions working with latest technologies to ensure meaningful solutions are tailored and deployed to EY’s clientele of small to large scale.


  • As a DevOps consultant, the candidate will be responsible for building COEs and solutions on Platform / services to new and as well as existing clients of EY. The responsibility includes:

  • Provide recommendations based on industry, security and infrastructure trends (e.g. virtualization, private cloud computing, automation etc.), and the standards followed.

  • Extensive hands-on technical experience in the design and creation of large scale distributed and fully automated Continuous Integration and Build & Deployment processes for numerous Agile projects, spanning many different technologies and platforms including Java, UNIX/Linux, VM Ware.

  • Experience with a wide range of languages, platforms, technologies and operating systems – Linux, Windows, UNIX, DevOps, VM Ware, VSS, TFS, Subversion, Git, Jenkins , Apache Tomcat and scripting in many languages.

  • Software configuration management/ release management processes and practices

  • Performing builds and managing configuration on production/development/testing environments

  • Troubleshooting issues with build and configuration

  • Setting up continuous builds and monitoring

  • Automation of integration and build tasks


  • 6 - 8 years of experience for a candidate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related area. The candidate must be dynamic, committed, capable of being an effective individual contributor and as well as a team player. He / She must be able to quickly add value to our business and demonstrate skills and experience in three or more of the technologies listed below:

  • In-depth domain expertise in following IM streams:

  • Act as a DevOps SME for Azure / AWS cloud services.

  • Proven prior experience in designing, implementing and supporting high performance, large scale web services or applications.

  • Should have thorough applied technical knowledge of the fundamental concepts and technologies associated with Linux Operating Systems (Hardware and Software).

  • Implementation, administration of server clusters.

  • Strong knowledge of internet protocols and experience in troubleshooting.

  • Working experience on Configuration management tools like Puppet/Chef/Ansible/Terraform

  • Strong experience in Build / Release

  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker

  • Working experience on Test and Build systems like Jenkins/Maven

  • Strong exposure to source code version control tools like GIT / SVN

  • Knowledge about monitoring tools like Newrelic, Nagios, AppDynamics etc.

  • Handling database clusters – MySQL

  • Experience in building automated deployments using DevOps – ARM templates, Terraform, etc.

  • Experience working in an agile team environment and process.

Good Understanding on Key technologies:

  • AWS / Azure Services

  • Virtualization Technologies - VMware, KVM

  • Applications – Tomcat, JBOSS

  • Monitoring tools – Nagios, NewRelic
