The opportunity

The CT Reporting team is responsible for facilitating the reporting demands from EY Client Technology leadership. The objective of the CT Reporting team is to ensure that reporting requirements are delivered in an optimized, effective and efficient way and supports EY Client Technology in delivering its customer commitments.

Your key responsibilities

We are looking for an experience business intelligence leader who manages a team of Business Intelligence (BI) developers to create and manage BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. In this role, one should have people management experience, as well as a background in data and business analysis and hands-on experience working with the leading BI tools - Azure Data Factory, Azure Dev Ops (TFS online), SQL Server and Power BI.

  • Translate business needs to technicalspecifications

  • Designing, developing and maintainingbusiness intelligence solutions (e.g. reporting tools)

  • Crafting and executing queries uponrequest for data

  • Presenting information through reportsand visualization

  • Maintain and support data analyticsplatforms (e.g. MicroStrategy)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel andPowerPoint

  • Analytical and an excellentcommunicator, having business acumen and problem-solving aptitude.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Excellent understanding of the latestData Modelling techniques and tools, with excellent skills in Power BI and SQL.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitativeanalysis skills with proficiency in absorbing large volumes of complexinformation, and presenting it in a clear and concise manner to all levels ofmanagement

  • Strong leadership and team managementskills

  • Good understanding of SCRUM or Agile-baseddelivery methodology.

  • Ability to evaluate and improveexisting BI systems, collaborating with teams to integrate systems

  • Develop and execute database queriesand conduct analyses

  • Create visualizations and reports forrequested projects

  • Develop and update technicaldocumentation

  • Maintaining the integrity of theinformation in the reports being produced and other relevant applications

  • Understand the agreed SLAs and deliverreporting activities

Ideally, you’ll also have to

  • Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills with the ability to communicate fluently in English bothverbally and in writing with all levels of staff and management

  • Support the development andmaintenance of accurate reports to be consumed by senior executives

  • Interact with Global and localstakeholders, understand their needs and elicit requirements to service themeffectively

  • Ability to recognize culturaldifferences and lead virtual cross team discussions

  • Analyze results and identify trendsand results requiring leadership attention

  • Facilitate efficient and error-freereporting – using Power BI

  • Identify and drive resolution of gaps/conflictsin data reporting

  • Identify and implement reportingprocess improvements

A BI leader with strong business acumen who can facilitate, coordinate and improve reporting processes—development through distribution—with effective communication and interpersonal skills. This includes communicating with senior leadership, understanding their business requirements, and developing information systems that support those requirements. As well, the BI leader is expected to analyse and interpret the reported data and provide a summary of matters of attention. As well, the ability to manage multiple demands efficiently and effectively.
