Theopportunity

In this role, you will play an important part in the Employee Services team. You will offer efficient and effective processing of security clearance and client-led screening administration within specified legislative, procedural and service guidelines. You will support all activities relating to client screening and security clearance applications, and aftercare of cleared employees and partners. You will be responsible for prioritising urgent business requests, for the notification of changes to the NSVS and FCA, and for knowledge sharing with Enterprise Risk Management and client engagement teams. You will be expected to consider requests in accordance with the firm’s policies, re-directing inappropriate requests and/or obtaining sanction for non-standard solutions.

In the role, you will have the opportunity to develop professional working relationships with key operational customers and external providers. You should be committed to your own personal development through completion of appropriate learning, and the development of the team by identifying potential process improvements. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to wider UK Talent Shared Services projects and initiatives.

Your keyresponsibilities

  • Deliverexcellent service in line with security clearance and client-led screeningprocesses, ensuring service level agreements and key performance indicators areachieved.

  • Manage keystakeholder relationships, internally & externally.

  • Processall administration relating to screening/clearance, including production ofinternal communications, preparation of references, and completion ofapplication forms.

  • Maintainup to date knowledge of the firm’s clients, the Security Policy Framework andthe Risk Management policy and process developments.

  • Managelist X releases with the guidance of the security controller, and implementchanges accordingly, ensuring a smooth transition to the business.

  • Ensurecompliance with the Firm’s policies and best practice, and maintain anawareness of instructions for working with/on UK Government information andGovernment analytics data.

  • Develop anin-depth knowledge and understanding of the Government Security Classificationscheme.

  • Pro-activelyfollow up outstanding documentation and requests for information in agreedtimescales.

  • Producereports and management information.

  • Providethe business with the screening/clearance information they require to assessemployee suitability for client engagements.

  • Manage thesecurity clearance, client-led screening and references mailbox.

  • Providereferences to internal and external customers.

  • Contributeto other Employee Services activities at the direction of the Employee ServicesManager or Team Leader.

Skillsand attributes for success

We are looking for people with previous experience within a service delivery and team environment, ideally in security vetting or a similar screening role.

Toqualify for the role you must have:

  • GCSE qualification level or equivalent

  • An ability to work to and enhance prescribedprocedures

  • Attention to detail and a focus upon accuracyand quality

Ideally, you’ll alsohave:

  • Knowledgeof operational screening systems and procedures
