FSO - Business Transformation, WAM Retirement Manager - This position could be located in NY, NJ, NC, TX, MA, IL, GA, FL, MO

The opportunity

Assist organizations across the retirement ecosystem to better define and implement their strategic vision for the future of retirement – across all business, operations and technology functions. We have a broad range of capabilities to assist clients with operational improvement, profitability management, finance function activities, product management, business transformation and innovation. Your time will be dedicated to the Retirement business including recordkeepers, asset managers, wealth managers, insurers, advisors, consultants and trust organizations. Your key responsibilities

Building relationships is the key. You will be a leader of strategy and content development and business transformation. You will be a key point of contact to motivate and guide client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds by fostering an innovative and inclusive team-orientated work environment. As you enhance and share knowledge and experience, you'll establish (or improve) your brand as a Retirement Subject Matter Advisor across EY, client organizations and the broader Retirement ecosystem.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience at a professional services firm, financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company

  • A degree in business, finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, or a related field; MBA degree preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working at a professional services firm, financial services company or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and business writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing industry and deep content knowledge in the Retirement Industry

  • Demonstrated ability to identify business development opportunities with clients and grow client relationships

  • Working knowledge of Retirement Services - Defined Contributions (DC) and/or Defined Benefits (DB) and Qualified/Non-Qualified Plans, 401K/403 b/457 plans, IRAs, Roth IRA etc.

  • Experience with defining and delivering multi-year business strategy and transformation efforts

  • Working knowledge of the retirement plan servicing lifecycle, including client onboarding, participant rollover, and ongoing operations is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team that is innovating or implementing a strategy across multiple phases of the initiative

  • life cycle

  • Defined contribution strategy, corporate retirement strategy, retirement consultant relations, retirement plan analysis, financial wellness, decumulation strategies, retirement product/distribution solutions, or DCIO experience working in a retirement recordkeeping firm, wealth management firm, investment management firm, insurance firm, or as a consultant in one of these companies – preferred

  • Business understanding of retirement services operations processes and workflows – preferred

  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs and a valid driver's license and passport required

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Prior Financial Services consulting experience with a Big 4 firm, large global financial institution or leading consulting organization.

  • An established and growing network of relationships with professionals and/or organizations across the retirement ecosystem

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $119,900 to $219,800. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $143,900 to $249,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
