EY helps clients across industries to understand topics of interest or concern trending on social networks, to identify and mitigate risk, to measure campaign or strategy performance, to dive deep into topics of interest for various demographics, to measure sentiment, and more.

The opportunity

You will help our clients gain detailed and actionable insights that leverage EY’s expertise to go beyond standard social media and social listening approaches. We’ll look to you to help our clients envision, execute and refine their social media capabilities. Your key responsibilities

There is no such thing as a typical day. You will support multiple client engagement teams, work with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services, and support business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts.You are proficient in social listening platforms and reporting, project management, presenting to clients and potential clients, and leading teams of analysts.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in consulting and supporting sales and business development with internal or external clients.

  • Experience in managing teams and driving social media initiatives.

  • Experience performing social listening, including query building, data quality analysis/cleanup, identification of trends, sentiment analysis, and report writing.

  • Knowledge or experience with social media, specifically paid, owned and earned content.

  • Socio-cultural knowledge; the ability to understand how to interpret and research social conversations within their given geography and demographic.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills in order to use data to measure campaign performance, including the creation of benchmarks and thresholds.

  • Solution-oriented and a growth-mindset – someone who is eager to innovate and build out best practices.

  • Strong communication skills in order to lead conversations with stakeholders.

  • The ability to translate goals into dynamic, precise dashboards and to deliver actionable insights.

  • A drive to build and nurture a strong network, both within EY and outside of it.

  • Knack for gathering business requirements, asking the right questions, and understanding how that information fits in with the client’s needs.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, information systems, statistics, international relations, business or related disciplines

  • 4+ years’ experience in marketing, with a heavy focus in social listening

  • Experience using social listening platforms: Brandwatch (formerly Crimson Hexagon) preferred

  • Experience creating detailed social listening reports

  • Passion to continue to learn and expand technical skills

  • Capable of delivering contextual, thoughtfully presented, social listening insights

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and to explain social listening concepts to a stakeholder audience

  • Strong ability to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insights

  • A valid driver’s license in the US; willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs

Ideally, you’ll also have the following:

  • Multilingual – fluent in language(s) beyond English

  • An understanding of multiple applications for social media and social listening, including but not limited to risk sensing, customer service, marketing, product development, personalization, etc.

  • Experience with leading interviews with business leads
