Our Law private client team is currently seeking to hire a graduate or junior lawyer with up to 2 years’ relevant experience to provide high quality tax and related commercial advice to a portfolio of high net worth clients, private corporate groups and businesses. The team work closely with both law and Tax Partners of EY Brisbane and nationally, as well as being part the Law practice across Australia and New Zealand. Your key responsibilities
Provide tax and related commercial advice to a range of clients including high net worth individuals and private corporate groups
Advise clients in relation to succession and asset protection matters
Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and internal stakeholders, and look to build relationships with new clients
Skills and attributes for success
An interest / experience in taxation law, trusts and commercial law
Natural relationship building and inter-personal skills
High energy levels and determination to get the job done
Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail
A positive and agile mindset and a genuine desire to work with teams nationally and across the EY network, assisting us to produce commercial solutions for our clients
Self-motivation, high energy levels and a desire to excel and play an active role in shaping the future of the business
To qualify for the role you must have the following
Legally qualified with up to 2 years’ post admission experience in providing tax or commercial or estate planning advice
Preferred technical knowledge of tax, trust law, commercial law and / or estate planning matters
Excellent client facing skills and strong commercial acumen
Experience in working as part of a team, with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships
