The EY Real Estate Advisory Services (REAS) team is a specialist global real estate team with a focus on three core services, Real Estate Transactions, Real Estate Valuations and Real Estate Advisory. As part of the team you will gain experience across a range of asset classes including, residential, retail, office, industrial, infrastructure and, special use properties throughout Australia. Your clients will include large corporates, all levels of government, major financial institutions foreign and private investors, developers and multi-national organisations.

About the opportunity
Our continued success has provided growth for a Senior Consultant within our Brisbane REAS office. We are looking for high performing team members who will bring a sense of passion to their work whilst fostering teamwork and innovative thinking. You should demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex real estate concepts and stay informed of technical issues. Candidates should be able to develop and maintain productive relationships with clients focus on deliverables and prioritise multiple tasks. The successful candidate must be committed to staying abreast of cutting-edge industry knowledge and have the ability to quickly anticipate and respond to the issues of a networked and constantly changing industry.
Your key responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Consultant you will:
Assist with valuation assignments in both stabilised assets and development properties
Assist on and be at the forefront of major urban renewal and infrastructure projects including the preparation of business cases, transaction strategies and property development advisory.
Provide vendor and acquisition due diligence for clients disposing or acquiring real estate assets or portfolios of assets
Assist with real estate transactions including contributing to pitches, production of information memorandums, liaising with vendors / bidders and bid analysis and evaluation. Provide real estate cash flow modelling for income producing and development assets in addition to analytic model reviews
Provide market research and trend analysis and undertake thought leaderships papers
Work on new and innovative housing models such as Build to Rent etc.
Skills and attributes for success
Experience using Estate Master, Argus Enterprise or other financial modelling programs will be highly regarded
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience in client facing roles, with excellent report writing and presentation skills
A detailed understanding of valuation methodologies
Having qualified as a valuer or worked as assistant valuer would be highly regarded
To qualify for the role you must have
A bachelor’s degree in Property or Real Estate Valuations course (preferred but not mandatory)
Professional accreditation such a CPV of the API or RICS
Approximately 3-5 years or more of work experience in the real estate field
