The People Consultant acts as the first point of contact for employees and leaders in the Assurance practice in a geographic area. The incumbent will possess deep understanding of the business needs and strategy of the practice/area; understand how to translate these needs into relevant talent initiatives and work to ensure successful implementation of key, high-touch people processes and initiatives, aligned with the business strategies.

Your key responsibilities

  • Servesas first point of contact for employees and senior leaders in practicearea.

  • Coordinatesand communicates extensively with the business leaders to deliver talentinitiatives; provides coaching and guidance to support the Assurancestrategic agenda

  • In coordinationwith members of the Assurance Talent team, helps execute major talentprocesses including compensation, performance management, talentmanagement, CPA Program, onboarding / integration, strategic workforceplanning and employee engagement strategies across practice area

  • Serves as the firstpoint of contact on employee relations issues; manages/handles issues asappropriate (communicating with Talent Team and practice leadership);escalates issues, as needed

  • Works closely with Campus& Experienced Recruitment, and practice leadership to delivereffectively against the workforce plan

  • Coordinates withDevelopment Consultants and Learning on National program implementation

  • Coordinates with Talent Shared Services team toensure proper handling of administrative processes

Toqualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor's degreeor equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 5-8years relevant experience in an HR Generalist/ Business Partner role

  • Proficiency in thefollowing competencies:

  • ability to managemultiple priorities; thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  • strong businessacumen; understands the professional service industry

  • relationship-buildingskills

  • experience andunderstanding of employment legislation

  • strongcommunication skills

  • able to operateeffectively and independently in a new environment; using good judgementand experience to support decision-making
