As part of a high-performing team, you’ll deliver exceptional client service — providing advice on how technology enablement, digital transformation and enterprise intelligence contribute to performance improvement, as well as how IT can act as a multiplying effect during major program transformations.

The opportunity

Our Technology Advisory offerings include IT Strategy and Transformation; Major Program Transformation; Enterprise Solutions; Digital & Emerging Technologies and Data & Analytics. We advise executives on how to improve business performance using technology, transitioning organisations from legacy to innovative technology.In return, you’ll work on some of the utmost progressive projects within the private and public sectors in Australia and unparalleled experiences working for a dynamic organisation.

Your key responsibilities

Working collaboratively with our Defence client, establishing a business-driven vision for the future of the technology systems, processes and infrastructure, through the application of leading practices and the improvement of technology service management and infrastructure capabilities. We help them develop a structured view of the operational interactions between the application and infrastructure components and build a roadmap of the future state and facilitate the long-term achievement of the strategic vision.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Consult with clients to understand their business challenges and goals, and recommend performance improvement and risk mitigation solutions through the use of technologies

  • Actively identify and pursue business opportunities with new and existing areas within defence

  • Design transformation strategy to ensure the enterprise’s information technology & business systems are aligned for future growth that is agile, transparent and cutting edge

  • Play an enterprise architect role and to lead the development of client’s IT strategies, IT operating models and technology roadmaps and solutions

  • Deliver technology operational effectiveness, architecture and solution design, business case development, as well as programme and project management to achieve cost optimisation

  • Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring all levels of staff

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Relevant degree in technology, business, maths, engineering or similar

  • Minimum 10 years’ management consulting experience preferably from a tier 1 consultancy

  • Strong business acumen, presentation, technical as well as influencing skills

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of IT Strategy; Enterprise Architecture; IT Operating Model; IT Operations and Service Management; IT Sourcing and Commercials

  • Up to date knowledge of digital and cloud and other emerging technologies and their application in business

  • Proven business development and sales success and able to identify and achieve business expansion opportunities

  • Team leadership and experience instilling high performing and collegian work culture
