The opportunity

As a Technology Advisory at https://www.ey.com/au/en/services/advisory/advisory---technology professional in our Canberra team, you will work alongside market leading specialist and work collaboratively with our clients, primarily within the public sector, on a range of varied engagements. Areas of Technology focus include:

  • IT strategy and sourcing

  • Technology solution delivery

  • Cloud Technology

  • Influencing policy from an IT perceptive

  • Helping government structure themselves to be more efficient and effective

  • Moving government from paper based deliverables to technology implemented solutions

You need to be an Australian citizen and also be eligible to gain a security clearance for this role.

Are you the person we are looking you?

Are you a highly motivated professional with the ability to contribute confidently to discussions with peers and management and solve the most complex customer problems?

  • We are interested in tech focused consultants who are keen to work with exciting but challenging tasks, in an agile, innovative and successful consulting environment.

  • A proven ability to be able to take a ‘big picture’ strategic view as well as being able to work at a detailed level across a broad range of technologies and approaches is key.

  • You’ll ideally have a degree in science, technology, engineering, maths, business or a related major coupled with 2-5 years’ experience in a relevant consulting, government and/or systems integration firm, working on numerous technology-enabled transformation projects.

  • You’ll impress us with your technical skills, however it is important that you have a sociable and communicative persona, with a good ability to collaborate with colleagues, customers and stakeholders and a commitment to delivering excellence in client service that will stand you apart.

  • Ideally have experience in one or more of the following specialisms: business intelligence, service management, mobility, IT security, cloud-enabled applications, SAP integration, digital technologies, data platforms, advanced analytics

Do you have the skills and attributes for success?

As a Consultant or Senior Consultant at EY you’ll be:

  • Supporting a portfolio of client assignments on engagements that are driven by their desire to move to a digitally enabled world.

  • Working on technology strategy, architecture and solution design (including package solutions) and technology operational effectiveness.

  • Supporting business cases that demonstrate the benefits of agile technology and the commercial benefits of moving to the As-A-Service Economy.

  • Working on fast paced technology transformations projects that will allow our clients to take advantage of Cloud, Digital, Emerging Technologies (Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain, AI) and Analytics.

  • Supporting the development of proposals in response to RFPs from our prospective clients.

  • Building valuable relationships with external clients and internal peers
