Our GPS Technology Organization is a structure within the US GPS practice that implements and maintains a new operate and technology model designed specifically to support U.S. defense and Government engagements.
You will be responsible for supporting successful transition of a portfolio of solutions on to Azure Gov cloud as well as on-going operation and support of these solutions. You will supervise and oversee all functions of support team aligned to a shift and provide fast, efficient, service not only limited to ticketing, troubleshooting, and customer support. As a Support Engineering Leader, you will be expected to develop long-term, trusted relationships with stakeholders and gain an in-depth understanding of key business processes, products and services ensuring business case and customer satisfaction goals are met.
Your key responsibilities
Responsible for the on-going management of existing pre-production and production environments for multiple, complex solutions, setting priorities and expectations with regards to delivery timing, resource requirements and monitoring outcomes
Manages and oversees the planning and release of deployment packages, including assessment of risk and delivery of post release reviews
Evaluates risks to integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations, reviews effectiveness of change implementations and incorporates improvements to organizational procedures governing change management
Coordinate day to day operations functions for Support Engineers on shift and available on-call supporting escalations and resolutions as needed
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and approaches to ensure quality standards of support engineering activities
Manages operational support service providers to assure internal and external providers are meeting service level agreements and performance metrics
Develops and reports out service health for solutions in production
Supports any system, service audits and certification efforts
Skills and attributes for success
Highly advanced understanding of technology including networks, storage systems, servers, operating systems, applications, database and web platforms
People and team management experience (including remote workers) is required
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of key business processes, products and services, within agreed areas of expertise and is able to provide input and advice to key stakeholders, such as Product Owners, business sponsors and Service Delivery Managers on complex queries
To qualify for the role, you must have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, or related field preferred
More than 7 years of relevant work experience
Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance level
Extensive relevant experience in either an internal or external support engineering role, or similar, with highly advanced technical knowledge in assigned specialism
Exceptional experience in customer facing roles
Extensive managed service experience with modern technology understanding including cloud service, virtual networks/systems
Considerable experience working virtually in a dispersed team
Considerable project management, financial management, supplier management, and stakeholder management experience in an engineering / support environment
Proven experience adhering to strategic operational plans and translating them into actionable roadmaps
Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience and knowledge of Azure commercial or Azure Gov.
Experience working with ServiceNow or similar tool.
Experience working Agile/Scrum environment preferred.
Experience working in Dev Ops organizations preferred.
Experience history of Azure Devops is a plus.
Project management certification is desirable (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2).
Programming knowledge, history and experience is desirable
Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous

Denver Salary Range: $100,600 - 165,800
Hartford Salary Range: $100,600 - 165,800
Stamford Salary Range: $110,600 - 182,400
Las Vegas Salary Range: $100,600 - 165,800
