Consulting – Senior – Food Safety & Quality
The Food Safety and Quality Senior role is a key role responsible for producing and delivering high quality food safety and quality assurance engagement activities. Food safety and quality is of central importance to organizations involved in the food value chain, as protecting their consumers is necessary for their businesses' success. However, consistently achieving food protection and quality expectations remains an industry challenge: recalls, in number and scale, are on the rise, and companies face increasing regulations and enforcement. They also face the linked issue of food-related litigation, particularly as it relates to potential false advertising allegations given assertions such as 'healthy' or 'GMO' free. As a result, there has been increased pressure from stakeholders to effectively manage food safety and quality. Organizations look to us to transform their approach to risk management.
The objective of our consulting risk services is to provide food and agribusiness clients with a candid and reliable overview of their risk landscape. Our solutions can be used by our clients to build confidence and trust with their customers, the overall market and when required by regulation or contract. Our clients consist of Consumer Packaged Goods companies in the areas of Human Food and Animal Food, Quick Service Restaurants, Food Service organizations, Ingredient Suppliers, Supermarkets, Food Retailers, C-stores, E-commerce, Distribution centers, Vitamin and Dietary Supplement Manufacturers, Food Packaging Manufacturing, Alcohol Producers, and Agricultural Inputs/Seed Producers.
As a member of the Food Safety and Quality team within the EY Food and Agribusiness - Risk Transformation Consulting practice, you will belong to a small network of professionals aiding our clients in transforming their processes and cultures to promote optimization, protect their business and brand, and grow the enterprise.
