Business Consulting Manager - Financial Services - Business Transformation – Consumer Lending (Auto)

The Business Transformation practice offers global and regional financial services clients the assistance needed to improve their performance in a rapidly changing business environment. We assemble experienced multidisciplinary teams, use consistent and proven global methodologies and draw on the full breadth of EY’s global reach, depth of capabilities and knowledge. Collectively, the group has a comprehensive skill set, which supports the delivery of operations, technology, product, sales, compliance, and risk projects for top clients in the U.S. financial services industry.
The objective of our Business Transformation – Consumer Banking (Automotive, Captive & Equipment Finance) Practice is to support financial services to continually innovate, transform to retain relevance, and deliver on growth. You can expect to work with client resources to analyze, evaluate, and enhance transformational programs within the retail banking, consumer lending and payment product spaces. All engagements are framed within the context of addressing our clients’ most pressing needs and informed by their long-term strategic priorities. Our Consumer Banking (Automotive, Captive & Equipment Finance) offerings utilize and deploy cross-functional teams for projects spanning across the following domains: Consumer Banking Optimization, Modernizing the Ecosystem, Workforce Transformation and Operational Efficiency.

Your key responsibilities:
As an Auto Manager Consultant, you’re likely to spend most of your time on operational and technical aspects of client business. That means developing an in-depth understanding of our clients’ unique needs and goals. The Auto Manager Consultant will take direction and guidance from both project team and client resources. You will be specifically responsible for supporting the delivery of a project workstream, creating and reviewing work products, ensuring consistent delivery across peers and team members, responding to client requests, delegating tasks and overseeing junior level resources, and supporting engagement operations.
An Auto Manager Consultant is also expected to contribute to internal EY initiatives and business development, in addition to client facing work, to further the development of our brand, our business and our people.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
Knowledgeable in capabilities in Automotive, Captive & Equipment Finance Operations
Technologies and Operations in Loan Originations, Servicing through End of Term
Industry Trends around Automotive, Captive & Equipment Financing (operations and tech)
Poven experience in developing thought leadership
Knowledge around customer centricity
5+ years’ experience, ideally experience in a project environment (Waterfall and Agile)
To qualify for the role, you must have:
5 years related work experience, specifically within Consumer Lending, Automotive, Captive or Equipment Financing
Experience and knowledge of Auto (LOS, online, mobile, redesign processes, relationship servicing modernization) transformation experience with a focus on auto operations, technology and best practices
Knowledge of consumer banking products and services such as deposits, checking, payments, mortgage, auto finance, credit cards, cryptocurrency transactions, etc.
Experience with operating model design to define target state business, operations, technology, and control partner functions
Experience performing current state and future state assessment, gap analysis, process assessment, reengineering and operational implementation experience
Experience in Capability Maturity Model planning, roadmap development and investment prioritization for large-scale, strategic, and transformative initiatives
Experience in Core Platform Transformation to support the changing business and regulatory landscape, enabling the realization of strategic business priorities including improved client experience, market expansion and easier partner/correspondent banking integration
Ideally, you’ll also have experience in:
Consumer Banking / Lending experience across the customer lifecycle (e.g. sales/origination, underwriting, fulfillment, servicing, accounting, monitoring, account closing, collections and default
Process design, modeling and automation for end-to-end customer journeys or operations
Experience performing current state and future state assessment, operating model design, gap analysis, process assessment, reengineering and operational implementation experience
Experience supporting core system conversion and client migrations
Experience in design, testing, and implementation of technology-enabled solutions
Experience in vendor assessment, selection, and transformation
Knowledge of workforce readiness, mobilization, and sales force effectiveness.
Experience with Alfa or FIS software solutions

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $127,100 to $233,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $152,500 to $264,800. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
