The Business Transformation practice offers global and regional financial services clients the assistance needed to improve their performance in a rapidly changing business environment. We assemble experienced multidisciplinary teams, use consistent and proven global methodologies, and draw on the full breadth of EY’s global reach, depth of capabilities and knowledge. Collectively, the group has a comprehensive skill set, which supports the delivery of operations, technology, product, sales, compliance, and risk projects for top clients in the U.S. financial services industry.

The objective of our Business Transformation – Corporate, Commercial and Small and Medium Enterprise (CCSB) Banking Practice is to support financial services to continually innovate, transform to retain relevance, and deliver on growth. You can expect to work with client resources to analyze, evaluate, and enhance transformational programs within CCSB’s key initiatives: 1) cash management, transaction banking, treasury and payments modernization, 2) client and front-office growth strategies to drive a more digital, responsive and efficient customer experience, 3) technology modernization of legacy platforms to raise efficiencies and build out digital capabilities, 4) commercial lending technology enablement across the middle and back-office functions and 5) trade transformation.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Senior Consultant, you’re likely to spend most of your time on operational and technical aspects of client business. That means developing an in-depth understanding of our clients’ unique needs and goals. The Senior Consultant will take direction and guidance from both project team and client resources. You will be specifically responsible for supporting the delivery of a project workstream, creating and reviewing work products, ensuring consistent delivery across peers and team members, responding to client requests, delegating tasks, and overseeing junior level resources, and supporting engagement operations.

A Senior Consultant is also expected to contribute to internal EY initiatives and business development, in addition to client facing work, to further the development of our brand, our business and our people.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree plus approximately 2+ years of related consulting work experience; or a graduate degree plus approximately 1+ years of related industry work experience, specifically within CCSB Banking, CCSB Credit, Treasury Management, Transaction Banking and/or Client Front Office

  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing industry and deep content knowledge in the CCSB space

  • Ability to travel – you will likely spend a significant amount of time onsite with our clients. This travel can be as much as 80% to 100% of a work week and may be international.

Ideally, you’ll also have experience in:

  • CCSB Lending/Credit experience across the credit lifecycle (e.g. sales/origination, underwriting, fulfillment, servicing, loan accounting, monitoring, and default)

  • Consulting experience with a Big 4 firm or large global financial institution

  • Knowledge of transaction banking and treasury management to include, but not limited to, Cash Management, Commercial Card, Payments, Treasury Operations, and Corporate Finance

  • Knowledge of KYC, AML, and other applicable compliance regulations

  • Channel (branch, online, mobile, contact center, relationship manager) transformation experience

  • Experience performing current state and future state assessment, gap analysis, process assessment, reengineering and operational implementation experience

  • Experience supporting core system conversion and client migrations

  • Experience in vendor assessment, selection, and transformation

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $92,600 to $169,700. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $111,100 to $192,900. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
