This exciting opportunity within GSS has arisen due to the expansion of the
Assurance team at EY GSS, and will be based within the Assurance office in
We currently are seeking qualified candidates for an excellent career and leadership
opportunity as an Assurance Assistant Manager within Global GSS Assurance
For the right individual, this provides an excellent opportunity to work in an
internationally facing office and develop knowledge of international accounting and
auditing principles, working in a high growth environment.
Your client responsibilities
Lead a team of Seniors and Associates and make sure the team delivers high
quality work, as per EY methodology, on time and to budget
Motivate and lead the GSS team, identify and foster key talents, coach,
mentor and supervise team members
Develop and maintain productive relationships with key EY Global contacts,
i.e., Global audit managers and project managers
Develop an understanding of EY Quality and Risk Management procedures,
and ensure these are embedded in to the engagement team's work.
Work closely with Global managers to transition new engagements and
services to GSS Assurance whilst maintaining quality of service
Proactively discuss work flow management with the teams in Global,
allocating resources to audit work and monitoring performance against
Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when
dealing with GSS and Global audit teams.
Establish expectations of value to be delivered to the Global teams and
ultimately to the Global clients
Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize audit processes across a
portfolio of clients
Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take
responsibility for their contributions to the team.
Delegate work successfully.
Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance
feedback/training. Lead by example.
Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members,
and enhance service delivery. Contribute to technical and soft-skills training to
continually develop the team's skills.
Your people responsibilities

Technical skills requirements
Knowledge of Indian accounting and auditing standards. Knowledge of
IFRS/UK GAAP and International auditing standards is an advantage
Effective interpersonal, risk management, facilitation and presentation Skills
Project management, leadership, coaching, counseling and supervisory skills
Excellent communication skills including speaking and writing effectively in
Ability to spread positive work culture and live EY values
The ability to quickly form strong working relationship with colleagues in India
and around the world.
Additional skills requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI, CPA, ICAEW, ACCA)
Internship with top or mid-tier accounting firm
4-5 years post-qualification experience with either mid-or top-tier accounting firm, focused on external or statutory audits
MNC or larger domestic Indian companies, preferably within a Shared Service
