Strategic Imperatives – Assistant Director

The opportunity

Employing a digital-first mindset, you’ll have the opportunity to plan and execute the direction for some of the Financial Services Strategic Imperatives marketing programs aligned to the practice’s strategic goals and revenue plan. Working closely with content partners, you’ll develop insights that differentiate in the market with greater focus on business implications, driving lead-gen activity and maximizing impact. You’ll work agilely with enabling teams to codevelop and coordinate go-to-market programs aligned around key audience issues and themes and leverage clear, data-based metrics to optimize audience reach.

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for developing comprehensive marketing strategies for end-to-end demand generation programs including drip/nurture email campaigns, content syndication, branding/content for EY-hosted and third-party events, among other channels, to drive demand and measurable impact for the Strategic Imperatives audiences.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a digital first, demand generation team to plan and execute end-to-end demand generation programs for FSO Strategic Imperatives cross-sector (initially focusing on Embedded Finance), relying on a strong understanding of the sales funnel content strategy

  • Ensure campaigns are being developed and aligned to business goals for key buyer personas

  • Create innovative multi-channel campaigns to drive MQLs and pipeline while closely monitoring conversion rates and optimizing campaigns at each stage of the funnel

  • Leverage marketing automation and lead management to streamline, automate and measure all marketing programs and workflows.

  • Work collaboratively with content strategy team to develop high impact assets and optimize SEO/SEM, ABM, social and PPC strategies

  • Collaborate with other service lines, sectors and alliances across the Americas to build integrated campaigns

  • Measure, analyze and report campaign performance

  • Proactively engage appropriate BMC specialty groups to help complete program deliverables. This includes internal and external communications, video, thought leadership, branding, digital marketing, and more

  • Adhere to EY independence, procurement, branding, invoicing policies and guidelines

  • Ability to project manage complex programs and drive relationship building efforts

Skills and attributes for success

  • Adept at creating strategic, targeted and impactful go-to-market initiatives to commercialize services and solutions

  • Proven track record of accomplishments in multichannel marketing and ability to drive the build of engaging content behind strategic initiatives

  • Create measurable impact through providing exceptional client service, act as a trusted advisor and point of contact for project management

  • Ability to project manage complex programs and drive relationship building efforts at all levels, internally and externally

  • Manage relationships with external agencies, effectively articulating business needs and KPIs to brief and engage outside vendors

  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital marketing platforms (e.g., Marketo, Google Analytics/AdWords) to target buyers, benchmark campaigns and track ROI

  • Ability to work autonomously when necessary in a virtual work environment, while collaborating with a team that is geographically dispersed

What we look for in a candidate

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in marketing; experience marketing to financial services’ personas and tech buyers is preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field

  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking and analytical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including presentations) as well as listening, interpretation and influencing skills

  • Excellent project management skills, team building and interpersonal communication skills

  • Must be able to articulate complex subject matter in a straightforward, concise and easily digestible manner for broad audiences

  • Poise and confidence to professionally interact with various levels of leadership

What we offer

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $98,100 to $178,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $117,700 to $202,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
