EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:
Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
Enterprise Technology (ET) – ET supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. ET will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
Within Enterprise Technology, the Transformation Office provides oversight of key ground-breaking initiatives and acts as the gatekeeper for ideation to ensure continued alignment to ET strategic objectives. The Transformation Office inspires, motivates change and accelerates a cultural shift in ET’s ways of working. It establishes transformation portfolio management standards and drives business performance, PM resource management, coordinates complex stakeholders and manages select priority initiatives.
You will lead a hardworking team responsible for measuring and driving end-to-end process and business performance across the ET organization to track critical metrics and delivery of the transformation agenda. You will provide consistent visibility and oversight which will also enable timely and effective interventions where performance is off-track, identify where improvements need to be made, and where there are opportunities for further efficiencies.
Your key responsibilities
As the leader for the sustainable performance team, you will:
Monitor programs within the transformation portfolios through their lifecycle, consolidate portfolio level view on the realization of benefits and critical metrics against their targets;
Provide benchmarks and tracking of performance for the ET business, driving step change and high performance;
Manage PM resources and capacity to deliver change;
Supervise BAU initiatives to identify required interventions;
Manage lean specialists with a customer focus to drive operational efficiency;
Use industry standard process management to identify where process improvements can be made;
Identify improvements and use consistent methods / standard methodologies to support the ET operating model, inter and intra ET;
Skills and attributes for success
Designing and documenting processes, policies, standards, key performance indicators and controls;
A customer-centric approach to work, flexible and adaptable and able to work effectively at all levels in an organization;
Solid project management skills, including prioritization and ability to multi-task;
Creative, innovative and critical thinking with a track record of developing credible ideas;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate meetings as well as listening and interpretation skills;
To qualify for the role you must have
Ability to evaluate existing processes, analyse implemented changes, and recommend adjustments to workflows or other processes;
Experience supporting business process improvement initiatives in a technology environment;
Solid understanding of organizational management principles, methodologies and tools;
Experience in implementing large-scale organizational cultural shift efforts;
Skilled in supporting change efforts by sharing the benefits and promoting ways to reduce barriers to implementation;
Management skills inclusive of hiring staff, setting objectives, reviewing accomplishments, coaching for success and counselling for improvement.
