The opportunity

We work on the most complex and high-profile global transactions, across a broad portfolio of clients and industry sectors. We are a group of experienced industry professionals with a background in advanced analytics and operations who are strategic transaction advisers, which enables us to bring a wealth of deep sector and functional knowledge to our clients. As a team, we prepare and execute separation and integration plans by solving business problems at the intersection ofoperations research and data science in a broad range of analytics disciplines,including:

  • Operationsdecision support and scenario analysis

  • Mathematicalprogramming and statistical modelling

  • Optimization,Forecasting and Simulation

  • Big dataintegration and homogenization

  • Businesscase development

  • Riskassessment & remediation

  • Transportationand logistics analytics

  • Multi-echeloninventory optimization

  • Network modellingand footprint optimization

  • Sourcing,spend, and procurement analytics

  • Discreteevent and continuous flow simulation

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior in S&O - Analytics you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing operational focused projects supported by advanced analytics and insights. You'll execute and manage projects across all sectors and various operational functions, supporting our clients in developing and executing strategies for transactions.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Experiencein managing and/or supervising a team of analytics professionals through allphases of the engagement lifecycle, including requirements definition, design,development, testing and post-delivery support.

  • Demonstratehigh levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate newknowledge.

  • Demonstratequality project execution and delivery by successfully monitoring project/programteam economics, performance against the job arrangement and budget.

  • Theability to team and collaborate for the purposes of effectively designing andimplementing engagement objectives, strategies and solutions that addressesclient needs.

  • Theability to manage engagements in a rigorous, time sensitive environment whiledeliver high-quality solutions through the management of cross functional teamsand remote resources.

  • Theability to foster an innovative and team-oriented work environment committed todeveloping knowledge, continuing to learn and share knowledge with clients andteam members alike.

  • Excellentindustry knowledge staying abreast of current business and industrydevelopments relevant to the client's business, and act as a leader in adoptingnew tools and techniques.

  • Theability to use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness ofservices provided.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor’sdegreein statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science,operations research, industrial/systems engineering, business analytics orrelateddata scienceand 5 years of related work experience; or a graduatedegree and approximately 4 years of related work experience.

  • Experience inusing data,programming and mathematical techniques to solve business issues relatedto supply chain optimization, operations effectiveness, costtransformation, working capital improvements and othertypes of operational improvements, (e.g., Machine Learning, AI).

  • Prior experience with one of more advanced data miningtools (e.g. SQL, Hadoop, Alteryx), programming language (e.g. Python, R,Java), visualization application (e.g. Tableau, Spotfire, Power BI), anddecision modelling tool (e.g. SC Guru, JDA, SASS, AIMMS, GAMS, Arena).

  • Working knowledge of data management, datastructures and analytic models.

  • Experienceleading and managing in complex business environments.

  • The abilityto prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly tonew challenges and concepts.

  • Excellentnegotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to developlong-lasting relationships both internally and externally.

  • Experience in strategy, operationsresearch, supply chain, procurement and/or logistics roles

  • PC proficiency including MS Word, Access,PowerPoint, VBA and MS Excel.

  • Must bewilling and able to travel up to 50% on short notice.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A proven record of excellence in a mergers &acquisitions transactions role.

  • Experience gained within another consulting servicesorganization.

  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
