Our Experiential Hiring Program is all about providing our people with the skills, information and knowledge to take on some of the biggest challenges in Financial Accounting and Advisory Services. Here, you'll have the opportunity to spend time in a wide range of Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) service areas, covering everything from technical accounting, commodities, treasury services, climate changes and sustainability services to digital analytics. After a few years developing into a broad-based FAAS professional, you will make an educated choice about which area of FAAS best aligns with your skills and interests, and with the support of industry-leading teams, there's no better place to gain this experience.
The EY Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) practice assists finance leaders in addressing the strategic accounting and financial reporting challenges facing their business, whether in managing the ongoing finance function or reacting to transformational events, by providing practical market insight and access to proven resources.

Your key responsibilities
Engaging in complex compliance projects for our clients. This will be balanced with research, planning, and meetings with senior colleagues.
Working across all industries and interacting with our clients, you'll develop your career by communicating and providing insight around data analytic solutions to solve our client's accounting, finance, governance and regulatory concerns. You'll be able to deliver exceptional client experience through the use of technology to help meet client short-term and long-term demands.
Assist clients in their efforts to identify, measure, and appropriately manage their business and reporting risks as they transition their organizations to respond to changing government environmental regulations and new trends in sustainability management and reporting
Collaborating with partners, senior managers and clients to influence strategy around commodity markets, balancing risk and client expectations
Consulting with clients on complex and technical accounting issues

A predicted undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics or related major
A demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam (if pursuing Accounting degree)
Excellent English language communication skills
Expertise in time management, and the ability to adapt to change under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the confidence to translate complex information into insightful, actionable recommendations
A highly collaborative approach to work, and the personal integrity to support not only your team's interests, but colleagues across a global business
Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours when necessary
A driver's license valid in the U.S.

Our approach to hiring utilizes several different formats throughout the course of the recruiting process.
In addition to speaking with our recruiters and client-serving professionals, we also leverage game-based assessments to assess your non-technical skills and attributes in a quick and engaging experience. This includes your collaboration style and your abilities to work with information and the use of pre-recorded video interviews (PRVI). PRVI technology provides a great opportunity for you to share more about your qualifications and interests, as well as to ask more specifics about EY and the role for which you are interviewing. It also provides you with the flexibility and convenience of completing at a time and place that works best for your schedule.
