Our GPS Technology Organization is a structure within the US GPS practice that implements and maintains a new operate and technology model designed specifically to support U.S. defense and Government engagements.

The opportunity

You’ll need to be an experienced email engineer with skills to manage a large scale, complex Exchange Online implementation within the Microsoft 365 Cloud. Your engineering experience with Microsoft 365 will be put to use in working with complex Exchange architectures and scripting solutions via PowerShell. You’ll specifically oversee Exchange Online within a Government Community Cloud (GCC-High) tenant. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for engineering and deploying solutions related to email products such as Outlook, Outlook on the Web, Microsoft To-Do, etc.

You’ll include escalation support for EY’s M365 email environments and their associated email products. You’ll also function as part of a global email support team in a large, complex and multinational environment.

Your key responsibilities

  • Engineering and implementing email solutions for Exchange Online within the Government Community Cloud (GCC-High) tenant

  • Engineering and implementing email solutions for products such as Outlook, Outlook on the Web, Microsoft To-Do, and related products

  • Working with other engineers and Operations staff to test, implement and transition new services, or upgrades to existing core email services related to Microsoft 365 email and related client products (Outlook, To-Do, etc.)

  • Engineering of custom solutions related to M365 messaging for EY, including ability to analyze and deliver solutions against customer requirements as well as serving as the subject matter expert on assigned projects

  • Providing input and recommendations on areas of service improvement both from a technical point of view as well as from a process perspective

  • Responsible for certain technical and non-technical deliverables within assigned projects and areas of responsibility, including collaboration with solution architects, other engineers, operational staff and project managers.

  • Reporting and KPI statistics as agreed upon by team leadership and service owners

  • Proactively anticipating service issues before they occur and able to making recommendations around resolution

  • Taking part in projects as a subject matter resource or as a representative of the engineering team leadership as needed

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills which provide the ability to manage multiple technical challenges from multiple services and projects simultaneously

  • The role may require out of office hours work

  • Intercontinental travel may be required

Skills and attributes for success

  • The ability to set up a network of technical and non-technical contacts across various teams to help provide appropriate support for existing services, as well as helping to drive delivery of solutions and/or resolution of various problems

  • You must be flexible to the demands of the services we provide and any project to which they are assigned

  • Ability to evaluate and make recommendations for service improvements, with the ability to identify any gaps or alternate solutions

  • Proactively anticipate service issues before they occur and be able to drive suggested changes to execution

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required

  • 1 year or more working in an IT Messaging or appropriate function

  • Technical experience with both Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online)

  • Technical experience with email client products such as Outlook, Outlook on the Web, and Microsoft To-Do

  • Proficient with PowerShell scripting

  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top secret security clearance

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience with Azure AD and Azure AD Connect

  • Experience with Modern Authentication (concepts)

  • Familiarity with the following types of Active Directory services

  • Active Directory Domain Services (ADDS)

  • Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)

  • Active Directory Rights Management Services (ADRMS)

  • Experience with Outlook Mobile

  • Experience with certificates and certificate management

  • Technical project management skills
