Working process for benchmarking study

  • Local team provides to SSC with a search request form (including TP method to be applied, Profit Level Indicator to be used, language to be used in write up etc)(Request in either English or Chinese)

  • SSC develops specific search strategy and confirms approach with Local team (process in either English or Chinese)

  • SSC runs the OSIRIS database for pulling the raw data, (process in English only)

  • SSC refines the raw data based on the criteria set, e.g., applying quantitative screens; (process in English only)

  • SSC manual reviews the business descriptions, financial data and information from other source documents or company website to determine comparability (i.e., function, product/service, etc) to the tested party; (process will be in English and/or Chinese, and maybe even Japanese). In particular this process requires careful attention to detail and good analytical skills when assessing the degree of comparability between a company identified on the database and our client, i.e., the tested party. This assessment is done with respect to the products/services provided by the company as well as the types functions it engages in during that process, e.g., R&D activities, manufacturing, distribution etc.

  • SSC determines the final selected comparable companies; (process in either English or Chinese)

  • Based on the comparables' result, SSC calculates the interquartile range;

  • SSC composes a standard EA write-up based on the TPD template, including the search strategy, search process, comparable results etc.; (process in either English or Chinese)

  • SSC prepares the BM related appendix, e.g., search matrix, comparable companies' business description etc.; (process in either English or Chinese)

  • SSC performs the quality control procedures to ensure the good quality of all the deliverables; and

  • SSC sends the write-up together with all the working paper to the requestor via email.

Requirements:

  • 4-year university graduate / bachelor degree

  • 1-2 years of work experience preferred but not essential, including prior Shared Services/Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).

  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and customer orientation; works effectively with others.

  • Good command of spoken and written Japanese/Korean and English

  • Very attentive to and careful with Details

  • Displays positive attitude; meets challenges and changes with an open mind, demonstrates commitment to the job.

  • Good organization, analytical and problem solving skills; able to exercise judgment in day-to-day work activities.

  • Takes initiative and follows through as appropriate; attentive to details; efficiently processes high volume of transactions.

  • Flexible and dependable; willing to adjust work schedule as necessary to meet peak demands and customer requirements.

  • Good keyboarding and data entry skills.
